Usage: - Install the Audible Manager and open a file of your account. - Sign in into your audible account (in the application). Now the program can convert your audible files. - Start Aax2Mp3 (AaxToMp3GUI.exe) and select the file you want to convert. - Click the Convert button. - The buttons are grayed out and it shows how far the conversion has progressed. - - The time should always continue to increase. - If the buttons are clickable again, the conversion is completed. The mp3 file is now to be found in the same folder as the AAX file. The conversion need (depending on the computing power) for 1 minute of audio approximately 2 seconds. Snapcast
Synchronous multiroom audio player
Snapcast is a multiroom client-server audio player, where all clients are time synchronized with the server to play perfectly synced audio. It's not a standalone player, but an extension that turns your existing audio player into a Sonos-like multiroom solution. Audio is captured by the server and routed to the connected clients. Several players can feed audio to the server in parallel and clients can be grouped to play the same audio stream. One of the most generic ways to use Snapcast is in conjunction with the music player daemon (MPD) or Mopidy. The encoded chunks are sent via a TCP connection to the Snapclients. Each client does continuous time synchronization with the server, so that the client is always aware of the local server time. Every received chunk is first decoded and added to the client's chunk-buffer. Knowing the server's time, the chunk is played out using a system dependend low level audio API (e.g. ALSA) at the appropriate time. -

The bfxr project by increpare is a sound-effects generator tool originally built using Flash + AIR, based on the earlier Sfxr project. Its purpose is to enable users, especially game developers and sound designers, to quickly generate retro, 8-bit/“chiptune” style sound effects (“bleeps”, “booms”, “zaps”, etc.) without deep knowledge of audio signal processing. It offers an interactive GUI through which you can tweak many parameters (oscillators, envelopes, filters, etc.) to sculpt custom sound effects; you can preview in real time, export, and iterate. The project includes libraries, HTML templates, and both ActionScript and JavaScript code. It has been well-received (over a thousand stars), but as of 2025, it has been superseded by a newer version called bfxr2, which is a JavaScript reworking of the original. -

DeepSpeech is an open-source Speech-To-Text engine, using a model trained by machine learning techniques based on Baidu's Deep Speech research paper. Project DeepSpeech uses Google's TensorFlow to make the implementation easier. A pre-trained English model is available for use and can be downloaded following the instructions in the usage docs. If you want to use the pre-trained English model for performing speech-to-text, you can download it (along with other important inference material) from the DeepSpeech releases page. -

Editing a portion of an audio file only affects that portion; the rest of the file is untouched. Blocks of audio can be cut and pasted without changing their contents at all. This is especially useful for patching a finished master without corrupting its dither.
