JBuzz BBS Server is a telnet daemon which provides several communication facilities, like discussion board and chatting room for clients to experience. In order to extend functions for the system more easily, the feature called "applet" is introduced.

The LanChat Messenger is a series of batch files that interatct together to form a system in which you can communicate with other machines on your network as long as the machine can map a network drive, execute batch files, and change files and folders. Just a simple telnet server for those who have none. Written in Java this telnet server relys on telnetd2 from Dieter Wimberger as basic framework and adds a shell that runs on Windows and Unix.

ProxyTerm (pterm) is a simple tool to control console applications running on a remote machine. Unlike in telnet/ssh, applications are not terminated if the connection is shut down, but are kept running for subsequent connections from pterm clients.

SWAL is a program that can launch as a service (or standalone) and monitor other services and control other programs. Written in C++ and might have some .NET components (planning on a linux port)

Control- and Status-Utility for Tr*ndCh*p-based ADSL-modems. It allows to access the devices' console-service and retrieves their current staus. For example those TC3084 devices are supported: Lucent CELL 19A-BX, Speed Modem 50B(+) and 200 by Arcor.

cyclades-serial-client is an RFC 2217 compliant client that works with servers such as Cyclades Terminal Servers and sercd. It creates a virtual serial port which connects to the server over a network.

I'm a HW Support and used cacti, zabbix, but they are too "strong", sometimes I just want to know server "worked fine", and show me a basicly load-average chart, that's enough. And the other hand, I need run command (like: "top", "iostat", "date" etc.) remotely and show it out to the webpage. The hwmonitor(writen in C) is a simple daemon, you can define some command-name(like: show_top= top -b -n1), telnet to this daemon and input your def-command(like: show_top), hwmonitor will return the info. And hwclient(include in this project, writen in C) connect to hwmonitor, input a define command-name to get server load-average and IO-idle each 60 seconds(you can change it) into a text file. hwgraphic (include in this project, writen in PHP) read the text file(generated by hwclient) and show the load-average chart and IO-idle chart.

kcWebTelnet is a PHP Script that allows users to run Unix or Linux shell commands where TELNET is not provided from their web broswer.

Telnetchatd is a chatserver which uses the telnetprotocol. Users do not need to install a client, as every desktop-OS comes with a preinstalled telnetclient. Programmed in pure C, the server needs very little resources and runs on any unix-like system.
