    "Amazing introductory DAW"

    Pros: Simple system with easy plug and play. Plenty of instruments to choose from that sound fantastic. For any beginner music maker, this is a no-brainer.

    Cons: Only works on Apple machines. The barrier to entry of their systems is more than other hardware.

    Overall: If this were available for any system, it'd be the perfect software. I understand Apple wanting their own work, but it's a shame all the same for others.

    Pros: Free, easy to use, comes with my Macbook, more user-friendly than the competitors, although the competitors have more functions for hardcore musicians. I utilize a Focusrite Scarlett interface to sing and play guitar directly into Garageband, which eliminates background noise.

    Cons: There's only so much you can do with Garageband, but it's phenomenal for casual music creators.

    Overall: Great software to learn how to create music on computers. By far the most user-friendly option for digital music creation.

    "Fantastic Software for Music Makers"

    Pros: So. Many. Features. You'd be hard-pressed not to find a way to use Garage Band in your mix. Whether practicing at home, or recording in the studio, GarageBand does it all! And the mobile app is even better for working on the go!

    Cons: The only con would be it requires an Apple product like a Mac, iPhone, or iPad. However, that is all I own so I have no complaints!

    Overall: I'm not "pro", but I do know enough to know that GarageBand is a great platform for making music. I even have Grammy-nominated friends who have used to produce some of their songs. Highly recommend!

    Pros: GarageBand is an excellent tool for recording music and mixing it together. I've used it for many music recordings and it is very user-friendly.

    Cons: I wish the learning curve was a little bit easier.

    Overall: I would recommend GarageBand as an excellent entry-level tool for recording and mixing music yourself.
