I've finally managed to find some time to revisit this project. The good news is that cfGlitch seems to work on Cold Fusion MX without too much drama. It's certainly a lot faster on my laptop. I've committed various bits and pieces today so a new version isn't too far away. Hang in there...
Due to the fact that I've just started a new job, the cfGlitch schedule has temporarily been filed on the back-burner. The good news is that I have a laptop on order and I expect to be coding again in the next couple of weeks. Please bear with me for a bit whilst I get things organised.
Most of the planning for Milestone 3 has been done now and I'm ready to code. If all goes well another release should come around the first week of July. Check out the tracker section if you're interested in the details.
After much pain and suffering, the cfGlitch project has finally made it to it's first release. Not all of the functionality has been implemented yet but the basics are there. Download it and give it a try. If you think it's missing that all important feature please be sure to enter it into the feature requests section of the site.
I had an email, a week or so ago, with an offer of help on this project. This has inspired me to put my project management hat on and break the project down into a set list of tasks. Usually this is something I just do in my head when I'm coding a project myself so I've spent a bit of extra time getting it together. The basic framework for the application is all coded now and some of the system functions have been implemented. If things go well, version 0.1 (which means the completion of Milestone 2) should be ready towards the middle of May.
Things are moving along in the cfGlitch project. The project documentation has been imported into CVS, an announcement email list setup, the source forge project interface tweaked and a basic home page generated. We should be seeing some code in CVS over the next few days.
The cfGlitch project has been approved by the "powers that be" in SourceForge, so now it's time to get going. The System Requirements Document has already been completed and will be uploaded as soon as I get CVS setup.
