Is there still any support on Android? I use it daily on my old device, but cannot find it on the play store for my new pad. CoolReader3 / cr3-3.2.6 in the Files archive dates from 2018-08-09, is there nothing newer available, or in the pipeline?

I did what was suggested above. downloaded roboto font zip file from google fonts, uncompressed and saved in a folderalong wthg cr3.exe. Then opened cool reader and then settings/options. But there is no way to go and select font folder. Pl guide

Thank you guys for idea. I changed the display resolution from 4k to 1920x1080 and finally can see the text of FB2 book in CoolReader. :)

If I open cool reader on my new tablet, it does the same and on my wifes laptop. I cannot install it on my desktop

Read aloud ends when the screen is locked. Reading is through the TTS engine. Can something be done about it? Thank you

The crashing reappeared once more these days (with the same new e-book). And it appears to me it occurs after you use sliding to the left to flip a web page and use it for some time, like five minutes or so, then it begins to crash occasionally after only a one slide.

I miss this feature a lot. Having 3 devices I would like to take any of them and read my book from place I finished. that option would make coolreader really the best one. I've tried sync via dropbox but I failed....

Hi, I have begun to use the read feature. It selects the block to treat as a contiguous unit of text in a rather bizzare manner. Cool reader breaks at odd places sometime breaking a sentance into 3 parts making it almost unintelligible. When using Word on the same text it uses punctuation in a conventional way always using full stops as the main pause between sentences. Have I missed a setting or is there another reason for this? I would like to change the location of the .cr3 folder on the Windows desktop version. I don't like it in my C:\Users\%username%\.cr3 I would like to be able to specify where I wish it to be. Or another idea would be to put it in C:\Users\%usenamer%\AppData or C:\ProgramData RockFox

shut off audio voice synth with a "tap" ... (mouse click) - then it will not restart, have to terminate and restart program. sometimes reads italics - sometimes not long delay for MR. cause of the period. = replace all MR. with mister, etc. .. all abbreviations for that matter, heh does not read A.M or P.M.

I'm using Cool Reader on my Windows 7 laptop and this works for me. Place your mouse pointer over the first word of the text you want displayed in your bookmark and press and hold the left mouse button. After a moment the word will become highlighted. Continue holding the left mouse button and drag to select the rest of the text you want to appear in your bookmark. Release the mouse button and a menu with the optios "Copy", "Add bookmark" & "Read Aloud" will appear. Click just just below the "Add...

the problem is more than just 'delete'. same happens with 'edit' .edit and delete operate on whatever is the top bookmark. not the one longpressed..

It is certainly not a problem to find out a language of a book. Every EPub book has <dc:language> element in its metadata.</dc:language>
