I have a website I created using Kompozer but my working knowledge for using Kompozer is pretty limited. I'd like help getting it set up properly so it can be found by search engines. My preference would be to do it via Teamviewer so I can see how it's done and ask questions if needed. And, again, I would be willing to pay for the help. Sometimes my pages get created with just the filename 'background.gif' for my background and sometimes it produces a whole long path like C://inetputb/wwwroot/.... and so on. If I send that up to my host it then doesn't produce the wallpaper. I always get the background the same way - format/colors and background/ then select the file. What am I doing wrong there?

I could not get Blue Griffon 3.0.1 to run on XP, but I still have an earlier version of BG (v 2.3.1 I think) that did work on my 32 bit XP. I see that you posted a reply last week that is awaiting moderator approval. I wonder if this message will get through.

KompoZer is apparently an abandoned project. There have been no updates to it for years. Blue Griffon is a worthy successor to KompoZer. It is supported and far more up to date than KompoZer. They do not claim to support XP, but they say it may still work. I still use XP on a couple of computers, so later tomorrow I will try to install Blue Griffon and see if it works. http://www.bluegriffon.com KompoZer has been abandoned for at least 6 years. BlueGriffon is based on KompoZer/Mozilla code and it is actively supported. There is a free version and it is pretty good for free software. I use it, but am considering the paid tier in order to get a little more. I used KompoZer for a long time, but I realized it was not supported any more, so I went looking for something else and stumbled upon BlueGriffon.

Apparently KompoZer is an abandoned project. There have been no closed tickets for anything since Feb 2012. Since then lots of folks have asked for help, but there none to be had. I gave up on KompoZer and went to BlueGriffon.com quite some time ago. BlueGriffon is based on KompoZer/Mozilla code, but it is being actively supported. There are at least 2 tiers. One is free, and is the one I use, and it is pretty good, especially for free. There is a paid tier that I am actually considering going to....

Either a how-to or a feature request. Is there some way to export/import settings in site manager from one computer to another without manually typing each site into the new computer? Typing 1-2 sites isn't bad but when you have several sites it gets tedious to type them all in again.

I created a web site using an earlier version of KompoZer. But when the older version was removed from my computer (!) I had to begin using a newer version. Now when I create a new Paypal button and try to insert it into a place on a KompoZer-built web page, I get this message: "KompoZer and paypal objects.com cannot communicate securely because they have no common encryption algorithms." Any ideas on how to work around this? Thanks.

Everything worked well until last week: KompoZer can't conect securely to ~several sites~ because the site uses a security protocol which isn't supported. No fresh downloads or anything. The error message keeps reappearing endlessly and I have to kill KompoZer to stop it. How can I switch of the encryption check for those sites?
