Update: on 21Mar2024 I installed the latest xfce version of MX Linux (MX-23.2-x64.iso from Jan2024). I burned the ISO to a bootable DVD, booted it up in "Linux Live" mode without installing to my hard drive, downloaded LAC's current AppImage (Version 9.61) and saw that it would NOT respond to LAC's built-in menus. I've seen this on a lot of distros lately, so I used the optional "LacMenuLauncher" to avoid use of LAC's built-in menus. Learn more about LacMenuLauncher in our LacMenuLauncher forum....

Hi. Thanks for participating in the LAC "Bug Tracking" forum. I think you are describing a known bug that has troubled us for years. Take a look at THIS thread: https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxaircombat/discussion/lacbugtracking/thread/bbe0ad8223/ Does that sound like your bug?

Most people that suffer from this bug just "live with it", since: 1- Restarting LAC always solves it, and it remains well-behaved throughout the next sortie. 2- It is present on SOME computers and NEVER on other computers 3- It seems to be related to certain graphic card drivers 4- We have NOT been able to completely eliminate it. On the affected systems, it seems beyond our control.

This game controller configuration makes the best starting point for configuring MOST console game controllers for use with Linux Air Combat. Most of today's console game controllers duplicate the main structure and arrangement of their controls according to the same pattern used by this Vilros controller, so by copying the file referenced above to your ~home/.LAC/LacControls.txt file, almost any console game controller that more-or-less resembles the one illustrated above will probably work. You...
