Please ignore the "review" from debguy - he is very confused.
There is NO claim from Microsoft in these files: what debguy has found is that the author's have included project files so that, if you want, you can use Visual Studio to build the source code.
His reference to "Tailand" (sic) seems to come from the Copyright notice that refers to "Thai Open Source Software Center Ltd" which is just the name of James Clark's company (Clark was born in the UK and lives in Thailand - which makes him an expat, of couse).
Expat is a superb piece of work.

libexpat.so.0 is still in use by Avast Anti-Virus. I use both Avast and Windows. So I run virus scans in Linux before I boot into windows. And updating the Expat removes Avast from my system due to the dependancy on libexpat.so.0

Great tool, but the new version (2.1.0) doesn't run under Win 2000 SP 4 whereas the old one (2.0.1) does.

I used Expat in a few projects now. Very good XML parser!
