  • Es sollte ein Programm geben wie ein E-Mail Xlient so das man auch E-Mail Schreiben kann und mehr Büro softwar dten
  • For a free download this is a brilliant Application. As good as any paid for Applications of a similar nature.
  • A Great Software Project. Much better than LibreOffice. Offers more compatibility, easier interface, and more features. It should be listed on distrolist.org however :( Hope they list it soon.
  • Great! A pity: someone thinks webserver is the only activity of Apache. JC
  • Looks like I dont need M Office already!)))))))))))))) Great)))
  • this is one of the best that dose what it says with great templates that are made and you can creat and share back . I can't say much more give it a try. You can't go wrong.
  • Good Project! Thanx You !!
  • Great office!
  • shall we need any key to install libre office.....
  • I love Apache OpenOffice. I just downloaded 4.0 and it looks pretty good. I am not a big fan of the big sidebar stuff, but once you close it, it seems to stay closed. It looks like it may be useful to those who use such things though. I had thought that this version would allowing saving in the docx and other newer M.S. file types, but ti doesn't. That doesn't matter to me either as I save my stuff in .doc. I figure that anyone can open a doc file so I am not worried about the newer types. What would I like to see in a future update? I don't know if it would be a simple or not, but I would like to be able to customize my tool bars by just dragging icons to the bar itself (the way M.S. Office and Softmaker Office allow one to do). I tried LibreOffice and to me it seemed bloated. It also wasn't as fast as A.O.O. What do I like BEST about A.O.O.? You have kept the menus and tool bars looking the same. It doesn't look like one big tool bar at eh top of the screen. There is a distinction between bars. Unlike L.O. tool bars that seem all run together. And we SURELY do not need that ridiculous ribbon interface that M.S. has adopted. The tool bar is a simple thing, but it is what keeps this Office Suite top of the rest. We don't need super fancy stuff. What we DO need is what works and looks pleasing to the eye. A.O.O. has managed to do that. Thanks Guys. :)

  • Better, in my opinion, than MSOffice in many subtle ways. I particularly favor it because it's community supported. I wish AOo and Libre Office could just unfork and get on with it,
  • It's good to see OpenOffice improving under the Apache Software Foundation leadership and its volunteers community. Version 4.0 merges the IBM Symphony source code donation (mostly the sidebar) and incorporates hundreds of performance and stability fixes, and it shows. Proponents of another fork will tell you why AOO is so bad and that they should user their fork instead. The reality is that apparently they can only boost their usage numbers by spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt about AOO. AOO 4.0 shows that code quality is a better feature than FUD, and that's why download numbers continue putting Apache OpenOffice as the #1 open source suite.
  • Why not??? Same as MS Office, but available for our Linux friends as well and for all those who do not WANT to pay/crack MS products. Honestly, it's a must..
  • This is a great alternative to Microsoft Office. I have been using it for years and do all of my school work for uni with it. It is free, easy to use, clean, and efficient. The ability to save with Writer as .doc files is very handy for sharing documents. I don't think I will be switching to any other product, even if I were to receive MS Office for free.

  • Requires Java which is more vulnerable and easy target for exploits Moreover it loads slowly

  • This is as close to MS Office you can get, for free....it works on all MS Office files, and I no longer use MS Office, since I have to have an Office program installed on several of my own personal computers. The only suggestion I have is to create an Android version for tablets and cell phones, which should be easy for the OpenOffice developers. Maybe it already exists, in which case, someone please send me an email of what to download from the Google Play Store. I currently use King Office on Android tabs.
  • I've been using OpenOffice for several years and I love it. Its been working great on both Windows 7 and Linux.
  • couldn't ask for a better product
  • Absolutely the best free office suite there is. It may not be MS Office but it is as close as you can get for FREE!
  • I have used this suite for many years in my profession and found nothing it will not do. I am a regulatory consultant for oil and gas companies. Calculations and correspondence are the lifeblood of the business.
  • Best alternative!
  • Hi! I teach'd my children to use OpenOfficeOrg since their ages of 8 in all their needs to make documents as been pupils. OOO became their default and natural office application without needing to think its cost or remarkable changes in its basic use. It's become very reliable and flexible to use also with other office software document formats. Its easy to update when wanted (not necessarily needed), by just removing the old one and installing new one. I warmly recommend it for everyone.
  • Great work. I will recommend this
  • It works great and the best thing is free!
  • I just love it! I use it for everyting. I don't know what I would do without it.
