Works right our of the box with Ubuntu 10.10 and my Samsung LN46C610. Only slight issue is the folder hierarchy of my TV (Videos, Music, Photos) is duplicated by MiniDLNA (Music, Pictures, Video)

The first media server I've had any real luck with, works like a charm. If it supported transcoding as well it would be perfect as my devices have rubbish file format support.
-
First UPnP-Server that works with my Sony BDP-S470. Very easy to install, a package for openSUSE would be great beacause there is none in the openSUSE build service (http:/software.opensuse.org/search).

MiniDLNA is simply but VERY USEFUL and FREE. It works (interacts) properly with my Panasonic Viera TX-P42G20E.

Thank you for wonderful software. Turned my Ubuntu 10.10 to DLNA server in no time. My WD TV Live shows 1080p movies over 100Mb network from the server just fine. Also my Samsung TV LN55B650 instantly recognized the server and could happily play content from it. (Though no FF/RW on MKV due to immaturity of media player in Samsung TV. Pause does work.) I only wish I could find a proper package in Ubuntu repository with init.d script configured out of box.

much better than all others I've tried. Works well with ps3 and droid x. great piece of software.

Works great with Samsung C650 series TV and a TL-WR1043ND with Openwrt. (Video play don't work with default Openwrt libffmpeg_0.5.2-4cj_ar71xx.ipk but work with libffmpeg_0.5.2-4cj_ar71xx.ipk )

Best dlna app I've ever tested (and a tested a lot) for my DLINK Nas DNS-323. Patch in progress to add particular feature : video thumbs, etc... Great community projet.

Works perfectly with Samsung LE40B651 and PS3 :-)

Fantastic!!! Works with my Samsung 32LC550 (that one with DLNA support). The only thing it would be nice to have .rpm or .deb :) I saw a comment that one is available on suse but seems not. Also it is nice to have different translation in addition to DE.

Worked out the box with my Samsung Galaxy S mobile.

Working very well with my Sony Bravia

works great on ubuntu with ps3 - very light weight.

This is the first DLNA server I've run into that actually works without excessive skipping. Huge thumbs up for that.
-
Just works.. Great work...
-
It's exactly what i needed. I compiled and linked it for my DSL modem/router (FritzBox 7390 - mips) and now i have a media-server without the need to switch a PC on. Works well with Sony Bravia

Great project - only easy to use dlna server for sony Bravia. Please put in video transcoding.
-
it's simlpy and works for me good enough.
-
By far the best DLNA server on Linux. Just wish it supported thumbnails for my video files on XboX 360.

Works with every DLNA client I have tried. Very easy to configure and is light weight. I have packaged this for Red Hat/CentOS/Fedora & SUSE and it is available in the openSUSE build service (http:/software.opensuse.org/search)

Great software, works as DLNA should! Thumbs up!

It worked with my Sony KDL37V5500 and my Samsung UE46B7070 and W7 Media Player (V12). Windows Media Player 11 has problems displaying the proper metadata and names for videos. As miniDLNA does not transcode on the fly, there are some issues with the media players on the TVs above especially with the AVI files and HD resolution. I can circunvent the problem by converting the files to mpeg or wmv. I am running on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit.

Very simple to install and configure. Low server requirements. Just needs .m3u./pls play list support and Last.fm scrobbling ;-)
