  • So far, I'm impressed. I watched a youtube video on setting up & using qBittorent before installing. It was worth it as I navigated the prerequisite Python installation as well as learning how to go about linking my torrent sources. The installation was a breeze, and within minutes I was downloading. I've noticed varying download speeds but that is contingent on many factors. Don't forget to install a good VPN app before doing anything. It's not cheap, but its worth every cent to protect yourself & your machine.

  • Good
  • I don't write reviews often. For one reason: it takes some time to use some program and get to know is it good or not. I don't use torrents often. In the past I used utorrent, but it got crappy with adware, or God knows what else. So, open source project was the natural choice. After some months of usage, I'm very pleased. I don't mess with settings, just set download and upload speed at home, so that it doesn't congest bandwidth. At work, it runs at max speed without problems. I'm developer myself and I see that guys put a real effort into it. It doesn't crash, nor it shows sign of bugs. Simple, nice interface, does the job without the hassle. I sincerely recommend it. UPDATE: I've installed in on Raspberry Pi 3B+ running Raspbian and it works great, the same as on Windows.
  • tldr; qBittorrent is too slow. I don't like to do this. I don't like to write a review about something that's outside my area of expertise. Especially not a bad review. I'm not a programmer. But I am a 'downloader'. Hence my interest in qBittorrent in the first place. However, I'm very disappointed with it. And I'm here to explain why and maybe get it fixed. Or, at least share my experience with other users and potential users of qBittorrent. I downloaded and installed it today on my mainstay Win7 desktop PC. I'm used to running an older version of uTorrent on that PC to handle all my downloading. And it's done a good job but it doesn't let me specify which interface to allow for download traffic. And since qBittorrent does do that, I wanted to try it out and, hopefully, replace my uTorrent client. And, for what it's worth, I've used qBittorrent before on my other PC which runs Linux Mint Mate OS. So, I used qBittorrent for a while on the Win7 PC after pouring through all the installation options and getting it set up the way I thought was best. Actually, I didn't have to change much of anything at all. Download directories, etc. that sort of thing. But the torrent downloads were consistently slower than what I was used to. Speeds werealways in the 4xxMbs to 6xxMbs range. Torrents on my other PC with Mint were also always in the same range. I suspected qBittorrent because it was the 'new' thing on the Win7 PC. And I was right. Keeping everything else carefully the same on that PC and with the torrents I was testing with, I found that torrents downloaded with uTorrent were consistently up around 1xxx-2xxxMbs, which is about 3-4 times faster than the same torrents downloaded with qBittorent. That may not sound like a big deal but when you're waiting for a large file, it makes a difference. And let me emphasize again that my installation of qBittorrent was basically 'straight out of the box'. No tinkering around to screw stuff up. So, I'm back to using my old uTorrent client until and unless I can find out what's going on with qBittorrent.
  • 问题特别多,github上提交了好几个问题 ,已经两年了,没见任何回复和修复。
  • it says 64 bit version of 4.14 is missing!
  • Every time I open a torrent with this program, it shows as "stalled." I have to use the force resume command and even still, it never finds any peers. I know this because I checked the torrent files in another program and they found peers immediately. I've seen posts about this problem on their forums dating back months, so it's clear they haven't bothered to fix it.
  • Fantastic! Easily the best torrent client I have used. Very easy to use. Uses very little resources and is lightning fast. At first I was a little disappointed that when deleting files the program permanently deletes them from your hard drive instead of putting them in the recycle bin. After further thought I realized that probably 99.99% of the time its OK, and it saves me the step of emptying the recycle bin.

  • The Best
  • This is easily the best torrent client I have ever tried. Lightweight, does it's thing and does not try to install some adware on your system.
  • v 4.1.1 on W10 I switched from uTorrent. I downloaded few torrents so it looked good. Suddenly my new torrents were marked as stalled. I checked my connections and port settings, hmm all seems ok. No errors in qB log. Finally I decided to try old uTorrent and it downloaded all without any problems! This software is unfortunately very UNRELIABLE.
  • Out of all the clients out there that I've tried, this is by far the best.
  • Easy to use & freeware
  • Agree with mitzabobitza. Apparently, using qt made this client one of the most polished in terms of UI.
  • This is the PERFECT BitTorrent platform. Very fast and simple. I love and recommend it.
  • The best Bittorrent client out there right now, no Spyware or ads. Just simple and clean. Love it
  • It is open source It is user friendly It has plenty of features, i like it, i use it -- It has long time not solved issues: github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues It is lagging when using more than thousand torrents It needs developers.
  • Thank you so much for the new update, i absolutely love the new interface as its compatible with my XPS 15's 4k screen. and for that reason only bittorrennt has become my favourite torrent client. im looking forward to seeing other updates in the future but until then i'm really satisfied with the product. I personally don't write reviews but this one made it worth it. i give 5 STARS.

  • w32/exploit.gen in qbittorrent-3.3.15!
  • WARNING – for all versions of qbittorrent – stable & beta -- up through “qbittorrent_3.4.0alpha_20160509_35c51ad3b17”. If you tell qbittorrent where your “.torrent” files are – a logical thing to do since you want it to work with your torrent files -- it will then take your collected “.torrent” files -- AND the downloaded files for that torrent -- and DELETE them ! ! ! Yes, it DELETEs them,,, after it obfuscate your “.torrent” files and hides them in ….\AppData\Local\qBittorrent\BT_backup . Will do this NO MATTER what save to / download settings you use. Do NOT allow qbittorrent to load any .torrent files from your saved .torrent files – if you do, you will have to find them again on the web and download them again. Also uses bazaar folder naming scheme for incomplete torrents – like it is trying to hide them. Will do this NO MATTER what save to / download settings you use.
  • It's amazing.Wish UI will be much pretty than current.
