  • It's save my life, really :) USB printing from windows local port method works slowly over vpn. The printing from SAP takes 30-120 secs, but with this utility it takes 1-2 secs! :) Thanks :)
  • (Win7) This mini-service appears easy enough to install, once you figure out the process: 1) move the exe to somewhere in your %PATH% or update the %PATH% with the location 2) open a cmd AS ADMINISTRATOR, even if you already are (avoids Error 5) 3) run your INSTALL or REMOVE with the right printer name exactly (see the Readme) 4) add a firewall rule for TCP 9100 incoming It should work from there. Features in a quick test appear to be exactly what I needed - no silly frills, but all the requirements covered well. Don't remove the binary or revert your %PATH% until after removing the service! There's one untouched support ticket in the queue now, from 6 years ago. I worry no one's watching that queue.
  • Works well for me with Windows 7 (x64) for legacy HP printer which had no native networking support. Thanks
  • This is very slick and beats messing around with Windows printer sharing for simple printing tasks.
  • It works. Very useful if you want to share a printer thru another computer, not the one it's physically connected to. Just an advice: the .EXE needs to be on the path for this to work as a service.
