I am a big fan of Ghost Brigade and miss that band dearly. So to hear about their return in this new form got me really excited! Judging by this first (super long) single it feels a bit like a subdued, more laid-back - but no less atmospheric version - of GB and I'm here for it.

Blessed litha! Absolutely incredible album which is aging beautifully with every listen. The full spectrum of Hexvessel's essence is on display! It makes me wonder what the Dawnbearer spells and material would sound like through the lens of black metal timbre and arrangement. The fact that this material was woven into being as a commissioned work for roadburn fest made me think it was going to be more conceptual and minimalist, but these are fully formed, fully realised, fully fleshed out songs.
