Hold down the SHIFT key as you drag with the mouse to move a poster element only up/down OR right/ left. EASY WAY TO MAKE A COPY: Hold down the CONTROL key as you drag with the mouse to get a DUPLICATE of the poster element. By using the hints above, you will not run as great a risk of getting poster elements out of column alignment. This file is for your use in preparing a research poster with four columns of material. Each column will be defined as 10” wide. You will trim your poster pieces along the dotted lines after your poster is printed out. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE – SAVE THIS FILE WITH A NEW NAME! Next, click and drag with the mouse to highlight the text you want to replace, starting with the authors’ names. Your new text will reflect the font size and weight of the text in the template file. Use text boxes to enter in text (insert tab, then select “Text Box”) Graphics can be imported by using the “Insert” tab, followed by “Picture….from file”and browsing to find your file of interest.
