Great material, great performances, and a truly muddy mess of a mix on most of the record. The drums are mostly just thuds in the distance. I still appreciate this band and hope that they'll work with better engineers in the future. I've heard some of these songs played live and they sounded so much better than they do here.

Another beautiful album, crafted with so much warmth and authenticity that as it breaks my heart it is also simultaneously healing it too. River Run Lvl 1, FMHM, Little Death, Not Running, Less than Thou, Happy Unhappy are equal faves but Great Noone, Uptown Girl, YWLM and Whatever are also brilliant BUT if I must/have to choose, it's Less than Thou 🥹
