Kukuruchi is a free browser-based civilization strategy game about sector investing, population management, and steering an entire planet through five ages of history without collapsing it in the process.

You start in the Primordial Era with 1,000 credits, 10 tribespeople, and more confidence than is probably warranted. From there, you guide your civilization through five eras: Primordial, Agrarian, Industrial, Information, and Space Age; each unlocking new sectors, new risks, and new ways to miscalculate.

You are not alone. The Procyon Hegemony —> a second civilization on the same planet that grows alongside you on a hidden schedule. Their milestones appear in your event feed. Their progress shapes the events you face. You cannot defeat them, and you cannot ignore them.

What you actually do: Buy and sell sectors on a live market. Each turn, prices shift based on volatility, event outcomes, and your own trading behavior. The Civilization Index tracks how your economy is doing. Push it past each era's threshold along with net worth and population gates and you advance. Fail to hold it together, and you regress.

The mechanics that bite:

  • Sector bubbles — over-concentrate in one sector and it inflates. It will also pop.
  • Stability & happiness — both decay under bad conditions and directly affect how fast your population grows. No growth, no era advance.
  • Manipulation detection — the game watches your voting patterns. If you're consistently rigging votes to benefit your own portfolio, it notices. Three strikes triggers the Banking Collapse arc.
  • Event arcs — multi-turn crisis and opportunity chains fire based on your sectors' price conditions. Golden Ages are real. So are Famines.
  • Rival events — 18 event cards tied to the Procyon Hegemony fire throughout all five eras. Cooperate, and they slow down, comfortable, brain-drained, complacent. Push back with sabotage and embargoes, and you radicalize them. They push harder. The relationship is yours to manage; the consequences are theirs to deliver.
  • Offline simulation — left the tab open? The world kept moving. Up to 48 turns simulated on return.
  • Medals — one per era completed, from Copper to Gold. Collected in your command strip.

Win condition: Reach the Space Age. The Hegemony is a pressure mechanic, not a fail state. You cannot lose to them. But the end screen notes who got there first. Compete with yourself, or beat it.
