Kirk Gauthier I don’t know if I would say that Stoned Jesus’s music is “life-changing,” but I discovered them completely by accident at a fairly pivotal time. I’d found my love for heavy metal coming back in 2013/2014, and I would often peruse Amazon for cheap albums. I found First Communion for, like, $2 and then got Seven Thunders Roar almost immediately afterwards. After The Harvest, the band signed to Napalm Records, and then we got Pilgrims, possibly their best album to date. God, this album is so good! Favorite track: Thessalia.

Melting faces since 2009 – STONED JESUS returns with their most challenging record to date! Fourth album "Pilgrims" is a rather multi-faceted affair mixing psychedelic groove with noise rock elements, lots of proggy infusions and maybe even a sick bass line reminiscent of good old Deftones („Thessalia“). Giants such as Mastodon and Melvins come to mind since STONED JESUS can`t be pigeonholed.
