Archmage Orladin What a find...What can I say...it's just FUN. This album is completely unpretentious fun. Fantastic. Reminds me of the one man band from Malta "Apotheosis". Hearkens back to the late 90's without being stale or derivative.

My ONLY criticism of this album is that I think the guitars are a tad too low/quiet in the mix. Some of the tremolo picking/riffs/leads sound a little too buried under the drums and keyboard...Phenomenal debut, otherwise. Favorite track: The Serpent's Stone.

Perfect entry-level trad heavy metal. This genre never clicked with me no matter who I listened to. Iron Maiden, Atlantean Kodex, you name it. Man, this is some flat out foul death doom metal. Crushingly heavy and intimidating. The whole album oozes a thick and murky atmosphere that will leave you feeling hypoxic and catatonic. Do what you can to brace yourself against this torrent of sludge and slime. 8/10 RJ
