Birthday Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another birthday themed Slimline Card.

I used the Joseph's Coat/Reverse Stencil technique to create the background on my card. I applied colored inks in rainbow order to white cardstock and then applied black ink through a stencil to create the pattern. For this card I used Honey Bee Stamps' Birthday Candle Stencil.

I used Slimline dies from Pinkfresh Studio and Trinity Stamps to cut the slimline panels.

I added the birthday sentiment which is from Kaisercraft.

I created a rainbow strip which I added to the inside of my card and then added sentiments using dies from Pinkfresh Studio. I also added a sentiment strip using stamps/dies from Taylored Expressions.

Rose Bouquet Birthday Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a birthday card I created using a stencil from Altenew.

This stencil is one of Altenew's newer stencils called Rose Bouquet. I used Altenew inks in Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss and Heart Beat for the flowers. For the leaves I used Olive and Moss inks also from Altenew.

I used one of the rectangles from Heffy Doodles Metric Stitched Rectangles die set to die cut the rose image. I used the inks I used on the rose and some gold Gansai Tambi Gold paint to add splatters all over the panel.

I layered the card onto green and then a folded guava cardstock. To finish off the front of the card I added a die cut sentiment from Kaisercraft.

For the inside of my card, I used the stencil again on the lower right hand corner of the car, to add some roses. I also added a birthday sentiment which is from one of La-La Land Crafts Card Kits I purchased last year.

Stencilled Poinsettia Cards

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing three stencilled Christmas cards I created using a new Honey Bee Stamps Poinsettia Stencil I purchased recently.

I wanted to create some glittered cards using glitter paste, but the Nuvo glittered pastes I have in red and green are both dried up. So I decided to pull out my Viva pastes in gold and red and used them instead.

For my first card I used Viva's Carmine-Red Metallic 3D Stamp Paint through the stencil. I then trimmed a section of the panel and added it to a folded card.

I added a sentiment which I stamps using red ink and then embossed using silver pearl embossing powder adding the sentiment to circles.

To finish off the card I added large jewels over the centre circles of the poinsettia and some tiny jewels randomly over the card.

I added the left over pieced of stencilled cardstock to the left hand side of my card and then added a sentiment.

For my second card I used Viva's Gold 3D Stamp Paint through the stencil on red cardstock. I die cut the panel using MFT Stamps Stitched Scallop Basic Edge die set, layering it onto a folded white card. I added a sentiment to the lower right hand side of the card using gold embossing powder.

To finish off the card I added some tiny gold jewels over the card.

For the inside of the card I added the negative piece of the stencilled poinsettia panel to the bottom of the card and added a sentiment.

For my final card I again used Viva's Gold 3D Stamp Paint through the stencil on red cardstock.

I trimmed off part of the panel and added a thin strip of green cardstock to the right hand side of the card.

For the sentiment I stamped using gold embossing powder and then die cut using two of the dies from Honey Bee Stamps Banner Builder die set.

I added large and small red jewels over the card.

For the inside of my card I added the left over stencilled panel to the left hand sided and gold embossed a sentiment.

Just Because

Hi everyone,

For my card today I have been playing with a few more presents that I received at Christmas last year (that sounds like so long ago doesn't it, when it was only a matter of a few weeks ago haha!)

The stamp set I used here was a must have when I first saw it online a few months before Christmas ... I just had to wait til Christmas before I got to actually have it. The designer paper and die cut sentiment were also presents.

Here is the inside of my card, I am just loving this new sentiment set I received.

Stamps: Critter Costume Party - Simon Says Stamp; Sentimental - Avery Elle
Paper: Pink; DP - Durmaz Imports
Dies: Just Because - Kaisercraft; Stitched Circles; Dotted Scallop Circles - Elizabeth Craft Designs

It’s A Girl!

Elephant-Baby-Card1-wm

Hi everyone,

I have Baby card to share with you today.

I received a couple of new dies from Paper Smooches the other week and of course I wanted to play … they are both Quote type dies (the Quote Tag on the front and the Quote bubble at the top on the inside).

Elephant-Baby-Card-wm

Originally I was just going to make a quick baby card using the Quote Tag set and when I looked through my stash on my desk to see what I had that might fit in the open area I spied this cute Kaisercraft Elephant. Well it just so happens that one of the paper pads I recently got also had elephants on it so of course I had to make a baby card.

Of course by the time I had finished the outside of my card, the other Quote die was calling to me and my Pop It Up dies are always calling me LOL, so neither could be ignored so I decided to create a pop up card. I used the Lucy Label Pop-Up die set designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs.

At the bottom edge of my card I added a panel cut using the Agatha Edges die and also the flourish from the same set.

Stamps: Elephant – Kaisercraft; Rectangle Greetings – Gina K
Paper: White; Pink; Dark Pink; You Are My Happy DP – Teresa Collins
Dies: Lucy Label Pop-Up; Agatha Edges designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs; Quote Tags; Quotables – Paper Smooches; Baby Phrase – PTI; It’s A Boy/Girl – Cheery Lynn Designs

Grandpa’s Little Mate!

Train wm

Hi everyone,

First up I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I had a wonderful day yesterday with at my daughter's house with her DH's family.

The festivities are still continuing today down in Australia as today is what is called Boxing Day, and I will be spending time with other family members I didn’t get to see yesterday.

Today’s project is something I created as an extra gift for my hubby for Christmas. He loves trains and when I saw this train kit by Kaisercraft a few months ago, I knew I had to purchase one and decorate it so he could have photos of our Grandson in it.

Here is a close up of the engine, I’m biased but I just love that train driver

And one more photo, this time a close up of the carriage. I used my computer to print out the “Grandpa’s little mate!” for the centre window.
