released 23 studio albums, including a Grammy-nominated tribute to Jimmie Rodgers, a fellow Meridian, MS native.
A member of the Mississippi Music Hall of Fame, Forbert is now an elder statesman of Americana music.

Changes happen often in my modest collection. Being moved by recent 'Indoor Safari,' albums, I went back a short 5 years to upgrade this sonically. This live album includes gourmet Nick compositions going back to Rockpile, even Brinsley Schwarz - what, 50 years have passed??? Listen from start to finish - no junk. Guitar work & licks of Eddie Angel and Greg Townson delight to no end. Collaboration between Nick & Los Jackets is about 13-years old. Not surprisingly it soars higher each year.

There's a similarity in song writing between Richard Thompson and Hugh Cornwell which maybe isn't surprising as they went to the same school at the same time, although Thompson is older. Due to Thompson's association with John French of Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band I searched for his work on the Bandcamp app. French, Thompson and Cornwell all have albums on the app which I'm very pleased about. Only Thompson has released contemporary albums, much to his credit.
