Still better than the first two games despite a mostly nonsensical story and basically being a glorified asset flip. Hell, even half the OST is from the first two games.

They finally did something interesting with the new ATB skin in this one, and while I don't like the central timer mechanic, it was definitely interesting as a mechanic. Wasn't a fan though that this game was clearly made with using the strategy guide in mind (thank you gameFAQS for letting me skip that part).

Honestly I wouldn't even call this game bad, just like the other FF13 games, not really worth playing unless you like Lightning like I do. Though I say this despite 13-2 barely having her in it and finding this to be a worse trilogy than the Star Wars Prequels.

Just play FF7 remake (and rebirth) instead nowadays, similar game with less frustating mechanics, although I do respect how open they made Lightning returns. That was cool. Too bad the Chocobo Eater and Earth Eater exist though.
