Someone once wrote a very precise review of this game:


"This game does in 2 hours what 2 years of antidepressants would do."

And they weren't Joking. SR even though made some *QUESTIONABLE- at best, choices.. *cough cough* epic. They're a very user friendly studio, and extremely good at what they're doing.

The game puts you in the place of a new slime rancher, Beatrix LeBeau (or something amongst those lines, i can never really remember. On her way to become the best rancher there is. She has bought a neat islnd on a planet called far, far range, where slimes are abundant and thriving. Your job? Enslave Capture aforementioned piles of gel, put them in a special corral and give them food to make Plorts. What are plorts? Slime poop.

The game is solely singleplayer, with a very small chance of multiplayer as the devs stated on the discussions and their forums. (I think they're actually tired of answering this question since launch.)

What makes the game so good is not only the whole idea of slimes being your very best friends instead of the very first XP farm in the game: The graphics and the soundtrack that creates such a cute-ish and relaxed atmosphere. There isn't also much violence in the game too! Making it perfect for smaller kids to play.

The game is contiuingly developped by Monomi, who are giving out free updates regurarly, With the last one being the SLIMEULATION update, every update they made so far added something major to the mechanics of the game, which makes the endgame and midgame very likable and very wide, you can race with slimes, look for prehistoric slimes, hunt down glitch slimes... multiple things!

The lore of the game, except you buying that far-far range of yours, really shows you some character, too. Even though every character looks very happy, and now they are... they also do have some backstories, and every one of them as cliche as it is unique in it's own way.

This game really helps you think and sort things out while playing, even though you are alone in the game, slimes and their smiles show you you ain't out there alone... I do actually reach out for this game today quite depressed and... it really makes me forget what has happened today.... Sorry for the emotional part lads but it struck me out of nowhere.

But sure as hell this game even though I felt like Shiitakkee mushrooms, it made me smile for a minute, forgetting what happened.
