Rest in peace, loved this game but they're leaning into AI now so I will no longer support this company.

Probably one of my favorite games I've ever played. Incredible graphics, incredible gameplay, incredible sound design and music. The story is unique and interesting, although I suggest if you're interested in the lore to watch some lore videos similar to other souls likes.

I want to preface that I do this the gameplay is fun, but that's really all it has going for it imo. If you're looking for a game that you can speedrun or be a completionist with I think this fits that. But for me personlity it came short in the story, I was expecting a lot from this game since it's from the same devs as my friend pedro. And in the previews they give away the one and only joke of the game, which unfortunately where the comedy runs stale as that's it.

If you want a run and gun precision platformer with speedrun and completionist elements, then by all means try it out. But if you were hoping for a funny interactive story with jokes and silly moments, then this just doesn't have that. I really really wish it did.

I play OSRS still and I wanted to check this out because it's made by one of Runescape creators, I'm not sure if I'll put in a ton of time on it just yet.

I'm recommending it just to say you should try it. It needs a lot of work if it wants to stand out at all to other MMO's currently. Most notably it just really needs some QoL that respects the time of its players.

Travel: Something that really stands out initially is the travel system is weak and laborious, you run kinda slow and the quick travel is scarce. You have a minimap but you can't click on it to travel great distances so you're stuck actively clicking the distance you want to go. You may or may not notice this at first but after about an hour you definitely will.

Skills: The skills are grindy (boy is it grindy) which is to be expected, but the variety in activities just isn't there and they basically all work the same way. Grab item from foraging, go to this booth to make potion. Grab fish, go buy the secondary item, go to this station to make the food. The skill system overall is purely to UNLOCK content, it doesn't help you do things better or faster, it's simply to move you onto the next area or objective.

Combat: The combat is like.. Different and simplistic, and I'm not sure if it's in a good way yet. It's turn based with weapons having different attack speeds and damage types. You can equip multiple weapons so that you can use these damage type advantages against various enemies, but honestly it doesn't feel incredibly effective. As well your armor equipment is built around protecting against these same damage types, and you don't really start to feel the defense buffs until later on. And to boot you have to equip all the items you want to use prior to initiating the battle, which is fine, sorta? But there are aggressive enemies that will initiate combat so I can see this being a problem later where you may not have the proper gear equipped in some situations and simply have to fight with what you have.

World: I'm not too deep into the world yet but it's got a few hooks, makes you ask a few quesions on who is that or why is that. But if you have a dismissive perspective on RPG's then you'll pretty immediately dismiss this game as bland. There is some depth there if you're interested, but so far from what I've seen talking to other players in game, no one seems to care too much.

All in all, it's worth trying to see if you vibe with it, I've found myself sinking an evening into it already just to try it out, and I see myself sinking more hours into it to see where it goes.

Give it a try, it's free, you might like it, if you don't just go back to your home MMO.

[Bought game on sale for $3]

Above everything else, I really enjoyed this game. I think it tells a nice story about how you should stand up for yourself more, have confidence, and do what you believe is right. It also covers the underlying issues with corporate worklife where you're asked to do things you don't necessarily want to like working overtime, or tasks outside your job description.

The game isn't perfect by any means, the gameplay doesn't *really* matter all that much, it's mainly an on-rails story with some pauses in-between for the "gameplay." You should definitely go into it with the mindset of experiencing the story, not necessarily doing it for the game mechanics itself.

The beginning is a riot, and it's very fun to learn new ways to say no or new ways to taunt your co-workers. However for me personally the gameplay loop starts to get really stale around chapter 4, however it picks back up in chapter 6. And it finished off with a REALLY strong ending!

Unfortunately I do not think this game is worth $15, it's AT BEST a 2 hour game if you listen to most/all the dialogue. And for that I don't think it justifies the pricetag. Having bought it at $3 I definitely feel like I got more than my moneys worth. At most I would say spending around $7 for this experience. So simply wishlist it and wait for a sale.

All in all, very good game/story. The lesson it tries to teach you may feel kind of obvious or not very useful. However I think the presentation for the story/lesson is well constructed, and the humor applied makes it feel fun and interesting.

I've had lurkbait for a little over a month now and it's probably one of the best chat interactions I run on my stream. I love seeing what people catch and my chat loves having something they can gamb- use their points towards!

Been playing since 2006 and I finally maxed last year and still play it to this day trying to keep up with new content. It's honestly impressive how often the game is updated with new things to do. Don't listen to the 0.01% of players that complain about a lack of high end content. They're just mad they spend 80 hours a week on this game and somehow "get bored."

The game is free so give it a try, it's earned its place as a top MMO for a reason so what do you have to lose? A couple hours of your time to see if you may like something? Don't kid yourself, if you're looking at a MMO as a potential game to play you have time to kill, and OSRS has time and time again proven its worth giving your time to.

Editing my review to tell all the people mad about the inclusive body/pronoun changes to stay mad. You're fuming over a minor inclusive change that doesn't effect you at all? Really? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stay mad loser LMAO, you're actually so pathetic for letting something so small like this get under your skin. Snowflake idiot.

Incredibly fun social game. Lots of stuff to do and experience. From minigames, arcades, casinos, fishing, house building, and a dedicated community of people who upload to the workshop with custom items and avatars. There's honestly just a lot to do and experience. I spent a lot of time on this game, and while I don't play that much now I'll cherish the time where it was a main game for me. The team at pixeltail have had their ups and downs as devs just like any other but I fully believe this is a game worth supporting. If you're hesitant wishlist it and check it out when it goes on sale. But I think there's enough to do to warrant the $20.
