I went to bat super hard for this game, promoting it as the "real Payday 3", spent hundreds of dollars on coppies of the game and it's DLCs for my friends so we could play together, and I feel like a complete damned idiot for doing so.

The developers, in something I can only see as some kind of last-ditch despration move akin to what Steak 'n Shake did, started pandering to a demographic of racists and white supremacists by inviting back a racist, xenophobic, transphobic[web.archive.org] vtuber into their early access partner program, one whom they had previously kicked off of their partner program due to the exact thing as seen above, publically apologized to her for the original incident[x.com] and tried to handwave it as not being a big deal by saying that it's okay that we're partnering with someone who supports the death death of others they disagree with[x.com], posts pictures of themselves with pro-apartheid literature[x.com], and is even sexist against women in spite of being one, because they're not giving them money, or "boosting their views", in spite of literally using the game's official Twitter account in reply to her, as seen above.

I hope the developers of the game enjoy the egg on their face when they realize the type of culture war focused people doing this type of act brings in may buy the game as some kind of weird "anti woke win", but they won't stick around unless they continue to make bigger and bigger asses of themselves pandering to that type of person.
