Game of the Year

Update 2:
The game is currently swarmed by cheaters and/or tryhards.
It seems like "aiming community" has targeted this game and is killing it.
Daily players averages at 100, on a good day.
Absolutely no marketing and advertisement attempts are being made from the developers.
It seems no actual content is being added except skins and other paid content.
At this point I feel like the developers are trying to milk the remaining whales.
The game WAS fun, it is not anymore.

Update:
The developers reduced the price of the mentioned bundle, player base issue and lack of gameplay content still remains.

Original review:
Releasing a ~30$ skin bundle in a 15$ Early Access game is an insane business strategy, a serious gamble considering the player base is very low.
Oh, and that ~30$ is a special discount price - it will be ~40$ after the event is over.

Maybe the game should be Free-to-Play instead?

90% of the lobbies are filled with bots - never seen a full human lobby.
It feels like the game never puts more than ~10 humans into the same match.

The game is fine you want to hop into it for like 30-60 minutes a day.

Looking forward to improvements and updates.

Reset player progress, force new grind and add $$ shortcuts... yeah, I'll pass.
Spent so many hours playing this game on Epic, it's sad to see it die this way.

Terrible performance, stuttery mess.
Do not trust demo area benchmarks - that part of the game is not that demanding!

On my Ryzen 5600 + RTX 3060 in some areas my FPS goes even down to 30 on the lowest settings with DLSS and Dynamic Resolution turned ON.

Look at the frametime graph, it's awful.

FSR3 + FG adds quite a bit of input latency and the game is still stuttery even at 60-70 FPS... no reason to use FG here.

There is very little difference between low and high for some graphical settings, the foliage setting has a huge performance impact in some areas.

There also seem to be some weirdness going on with GPU utilization where it's not being fully utilized and doesn't heat up as much as in other games.
In my case it stays around 60C while in other games goes up to 70-75C.

While the story and gameplay is great I can't recommend this game to people who care about performance right now.

Bad VR performance, getting worse with each update. Literally unplayable.
Performance used to be fine with GTX 1060, now it's impossible to play.

"Apocalypse" Major Update v0.7.0.0 is a MAJOR LETDOWN
Tons of VR bugs, major memory leak (?) after about 5 minutes into the game making the game freeze completely.

Addictive, simple gameplay.
