I've been playing this game since launch, it has had this annoying issue of needing a "steam key" to register onto your account. However, if you bought the two different pc versions of keys, you are literally screwed. I originally started playing with a windows service account. They refuse to let me register my steam keys to my account because I have a windows key on the account.

But whatever, fine...

Now today, when I try to login VIA steam ffxiv client, I am unable to because of a short sighted and idiotic change. Any player attempting to login with a windows key only account CANNOT LOGIN TO A STEAM FFXIV CLIENT. This is all despite the fact that they DON'T LET YOU REGISTER YOUR KEYS.

I bought this game on multiple platforms, they appear to want to lose fans over this anti-fraud system. It is very bad business. I have an idea, They should let us add our keys to our accounts.... you know it sounds like a GENIUS move and all...

Now we are expected to, redownload this giant sized video game all to ingratiate Square Enix? Whilst losing screenshot features and hour tracking? Oh and not to mention the dailies I was unable to complete because of this? I paid the money for this client, now they should provide the service or enjoy the negative reviews from the many fans they choose to alienate.

This review will remain, till this issue is corrected.
