Early Access Review
Very stable and quite a lot of content, even in Early Access.

A great sequel to the original game, but doesn't require you to have played the first game.

Satisfactory is as very good game that has continued to improve with the updates that have released since Version 1.0. Great single player but also very fun with friends.

Factorio is a Diamond Polished to Perfection.

Factorio is a game about automation. You design and build a factory who's purpose is to rip metals and other resources from the earth and assemble them into ever more complex things, culminating in building and launching a rocket.

Resources are finite though, so you need to expand (and possibly build outposts) in search of more resources to feed the ever-hungry machine. This expansion will bring you into contact with the local (alien, to you at least) population, who are multiplying and mutating because of the smog and pollution your factory is pumping out. Note that the aliens can be disabled if you want to play peacefully.

While the factory logistics concept is not unique to the game, what makes Factorio truly amazing is the amount of polish that the game has received. Both the UI and various game-systems have been done and re-done, sometimes several times over the course of Factorio being in Early Access. The developers were bold and were able to remove components that were added to the game early on but that didn't make much sense in the long run, such as the pickaxe as an equipable item.

I understand that Factorio is not for everyone. Some people just don't get enjoyment from that kind of logistics management. Others are programmers in their day jobs and sometimes Factorio can feel too much like work. For everyone else, Factorio is an uncompromising execution of the developer's vision for a "factory simulator", and one of the best games I've ever played.

Really relaxing (but not boring) game with a good story and mechanics. I would also recommend both sequels.

Eador. Masters of the Broken World is a strategy game with a long campaign. Each individual campaign mission is randomly generated, however as you progress through the missions you are able to unlocked additional buildings which can be built in your castle in future missions.

Although at first glance the game looks similar to Heroes of Might and Magic, the game is balanced very differently which can take some time to adjust to.There are two big balance differences. The first is that most of your income is made from adventuring rather than automatically each turn through your castles and mines. This can make the opening turns on a new map a bit of a puzzle, where you will find yourself saving and reloading trying to figure out which enemy encounter you can defeat in which order to claw your way up in resources, experience and equipment. As you progress through the game you are able to use income generated in the overall campaign map to allow you to start with small boosts on the individual campaign missions. Although the boosts are small they can smooth out a rough start.

The second balance difference is that instead of recruiting multiple copies of a single unit each week and putting them in a stack you instead recruit troops one at a time, with each individual troop taking up a slot but also being able to earn their own experience during battle and level up. Leveling up can improve their statistics, grant them new abilities or even upgrade them to a new type of unit.

I have not actually completed the campaign yet (restarted once after giving the game a break for 2 years and restarted a second time after corrupting my profile with a power failure and causing achievements to no longer trigger) but I have enjoyed what I have played. I haven't encountered many bugs or crashes (except for the achievement bug mentioned above which seems to be due to a power failure during the end-of-turn autosave).

There is a tutorial which does a good job of explaining most of the mechanics but the tutorial always runs at the easiest difficulty which makes it hard to get a handle on the balance of the game and where you should be spending effort and resources. The difficulty of the game can be changed throughout the campaign and I would recommend starting on one of the 2 easiest difficulty levels (there are 7 in total).

If you're willing to spend some time understanding Eador, it can be a very rewarding strategy game.

Great for playing through the campaign and for multiplayer. If you play through the campaign and still want more, look for the two expansion packs (not avaiable on Steam).

This is a really fun game. Try to catch it while it's on sale. You'll need to have some friends to play it with though as there are not really any Australian internet servers for this game.
