Only finished half of it so far and it's another indie stage-based 3d platformer great already. Some minor criticisms with the menu controls and how vague the collectibles for each stage are for how you get them, but otherwise this is an easy reccomend for anyone a fan of the genre and it's more than I ever expected.

I really like this game. It's rare for a clicker game to have such a constant upwards and downwards momentum as this one. It reminds me of those old video poker handhelds my grandpa used to have, its a lot of fun!

Fabraz's teams are masters of their platforming craft. Every movement you make feels extremely fluid and snappy and earned, any failed jump feels entirely the fault of my own hubris, but the controls are just so great that I find myself making the same mistakes again simply because it feels so good to play lol. I very much look forward to continuing this game but it has been extremely satisying, particulary in smoothing over some of the rough edges the original Demon Turf had. I am a massive fan of this dev for life (And yes this includes Bubsy 4D, bizarrely enough)

Everything about this game feels suited to make you think through your every action, because in some cases, your run depends on it. Which in my opinion is the mark of a truly great RPG mechanically. I can feel myself getting better at the game the more times i lose, and that feels like its own reward even when losing means using up a decent amount of resources.

Like all roguelikes there's a degree of RNG in making a run easy or hard, but it's the process of learning what mechanics interact together in interesting and unique ways and dealing with the hand you're delt that's the fun part. Ive had dozens of runs I thought were doomed by the first boss somehow make it to the end because I thought outside of the box for a unique synergy I may never have realized existed otherwise. For instance, I had a Necromancer with the ability to kill their own allies and gain their mana, but they also gained the passive that made units they kill turn into friendly zombies, which effectively let me continue killing my allies for free, turning my other 3 units into feed for my necromancer, changing my game plan entirely and letting me pull out a win.

Some might call some of the mechanics tedius but I do honestly think the way they intend for you to play the game is much slower than a lot of players realize. And as a result, doing so lets you learn the game more gradually as well. This isn't the kinda game you binge in a weekend, it's something you knock out one or two runs of a day for several months or even years.

I loved what's here a lot! A definite reccommend for any Rhythm Heaven fan. Every minigame is adorable in its art direction and all the songs are catchy. Some of the minigames might be a bit of a pastiche of their Rhythm Heaven counterparts, but I don't think that's really a bad thing when they all do something new with the formula (For example, there's a game that's extremely similar to Lockstep, but with aliens that switch from one planet to another on the offbeats instead, making the theming feel wholly unique)

My main criticisms are with the multiplayer-focused endless games that really aren't that fun single player (Could have used a Samurai Slice DS or Munchy Monk Wii to refresh between perfect attempts.) and the general lack of content when compared to the RH games that inspired it. (Game could definitely use some sequels and a credits minigame, as well as at least one lyrical track. Also I personally would like a reminder that I've missed a beat when going for perfects, or even an auto-restart on miss mode.) but what's here is plenty enough to hold me off until RH Groove drops.

I liked the first game well enough for what it was, but this game is much more my speed. I'm a huge fan. There's a lot of enemy variety and the character swapping to try to get as high of a score as possible, because you get a bonus for killing enemies quickly, is extremely fun. Different characters are more useful for different sections and losing one really hurts, as it should! I haven't finished the game yet but I appreciate the medals and the expert mode to keep you coming back for more
as well as the challenge stages0 (And the upcoming survival mode!)! There's definitely a ton hear for fans of any rail shooter like Sin and Punishment to love and I couldn't be happier to be a fan.

Willing to bet the only reason this game is very positive and not overwhelmingly positive is because the people who are enjoying it are actually playing it.

This series somehow manages to get better and better despite never actually being longer than like a half hour.

I can't say enough how much i love these games, they're endlessly repayable. You can pretty much just pick it up and do a play through whenever you want, and the skill ceiling is high enough for it to continue being rewarding. And this is the peak of that.

They gotta make more first/third person shooters with big numbers (I'm not playing Borderlands)

Turns out dark souls, Castlevania, and Links Awakening is a match made in heaven. Who'da thunk?

Extremely cheesed to play the finished version. Definitely a possible GotY for me. I loved what I played.
