Happy Halloween with Sunsational Stamps

Hi everyone, it's October and that means Halloween is coming.  I'm on the Sunsational blog today with this Cornfield Scarecrow.

I colored the image with Zig markers, then fussy cut it.

I had some fun Halloween paper in my stash which I layered with cardstock.  For a rustic effect to coordinate with the image, I used distress inks on my papers which I then added to my card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sunsational Halloween Card

Hi everyone, I've got a new post up for Sunsational Stamps.  This month we are getting ready for Fall and Halloween.   Be sure to check out the store for some fun stamps perfect for the season.

Today, I've created a card with Cats on a Fence

I began by coloring the image with markers and inks, blending them together.  Then I fussy cut the image.  Don't you love all the details?

I created a card from black cardstock then added striped paper on top.  I wanted the image to stand out so I placed it on a black panel which I then added to some Halloween paper that I edges with black cardstock.  The Trick or Treat tag was slipped behind the panel.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Vintage Bathing Beauties

Hi everyone, it's my day to post on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog and I've used Vintage Bathing Suits and Lowers Blood Pressure.

I love these bathing suits, such a reminder of what ladies used to wear!

I stamped them on white cardstock in black ink, then colored them with assorted Zig markers.  I inked the panel with distress ink before adding it to a panel of cream cardstock.

I created a card from black cardstock and added the stamped panel on top.   The sentiment was created the same way and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Aren't they sweet?

Thanks for stopping by today.

Planner Pages with Joy Clair

Hi everyone, today's my day to post on the Joy Clair blog and I'm using the Prayer Warrior stamp set.

While this set was created for Bible journaling, this set of 6 stamps is quite diverse.  If you are a planner junkie, consider using these stamps in your planner.

I wanted the warrior to "stand alone" in my planner, so I stamped her on a separate page that I could insert in my planner.

Please stop by the Joy Clair blog for complete details of my Planner page using this wonderful stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Backgrounds with Gel Press

Hi everyone, it's a beautiful day and I'd love to share some cards I created with the Gel Press.

Have you tried using the Gel Press Monoprinting plates?  Gel Press plates come in a variety of sizes and you have the ability to create amazing designs.

Using the Gel plate and one stencil, I was able to create 2 different backgrounds.

I began by adding paint to the 6" x 6" plate.  Using a brayer, I spread the paint across the plate.  Then I placed a Prima stencil in the wet paint.  Placing white cardstock on top and using a clean brayer, I pulled this amazing print.

After cutting it to fit, I matted it with Bazzill cardstock then adhered May Arts ribbonaround the panel before adding it to the card.

The Memory Box Butterfly was die cut twice for dimension.  Hang in there, from Heartfelt Creations, finished off the card and was die cut with Spellbinders dies.

Since I still had paint on my Gel plate, I placed another piece of cardstock on top and again used the brayer to remove the remaining paint.  The negative print is just as pretty as the original.

I cut the panel to 5" x 5", then placed it onto a card created from Bazzill cardstock.

The owls are from Heartfelt Creation's Sugar Hollow stamp set and were stamped with brown ink on a large tag.  A little color was added with Zig markers.

Thinking of you is from Stamping Bella's Winnie Peeking out the Window.  Scrapbook Adhesives 3D squares were used to add dimension on the card.

I hope I've inspired you to try a Gel plate today.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Sunset with Palms

Hi everyone, I've got a new post on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog using the fabulous
scene sunset with palms and the coordinating sentiment:  to watch a sunset

The scene is so pretty and I can see myself sitting on the beach watching the sun go down.

My first card was created using Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities to create a circular card.  Once I stamped the scene, I die cut it with the next sized die, but first fussy cut the palm tree so the palms would not be cut off.

My next card is rectangular as opposed to circular, giving a different look to the card.  Here you see more of the image.  I colored the image slightly differently and added the sentiment off to the side.

Please stop by the Just for Fun store and see all the amazing stamps available.

Wish Big

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and Kelly has asked us to create a card based on a storybook character.  As I looked through the store, I found this Baby Elephant digital stamp and he reminded me of Horton Hatches an Egg.  I loved reading that story to my son!

I know he wasn't pink, but the background papers  required him to be pink!  The sentiment is from Script Essential Expressions and seemed appropriate when I think about this book!

I colored the image with Zig Markers and added a sentiment from Script Essential Expressions.

For a little more dimension, I added a Spellbinders die cut behind the image.

    Friendship

Good morning everyone.  It is freezing out today with 14" of new snow so I needed something to warm me up.

I used the  Lighthouse digital stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, coloring it with Copic Markers.  After fussy cutting the image, I added it to card front.

I wanted the sentiment to stand alone so I matted it with cardstock and added it with foam adhesives for dimension.

    Solace

Good morning everyone.  It's Thomas Kinkade week at Cornish Heritage Farms.

This week I'm using  The Forest Chapel   stamp which is another incredibly detailed stamp.  I stamped the image with Clearsnap's Blackbird  Chalk Ink, then I added touches of color with Zig Markers.

Ranger Antique Linen and Broken China Distress Inks were used over the image to provide a twilight effect. Walnut Ink was used along the edges of the image and the card.  Then the completed image was matted with brown and blue cardstock to help accentuate the flowing stream.

So, I thought this Teacup Digital Stamp would be perfect.  I chose to color it with Zig Markers, adding a little Gold Lame Smooch Ink to the edge of the honey spoon.

The sentiment is from the Script Essential Expressions stamp set which has so many different sentiments to choose from - there is sure to be something for everyone.

The background was embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and I used a Spellbinders die to cut the background behind the tea cup.
