PPCF - Happy Birthday Meerkat

Hi everyone, I'm sharing a sweet birthday card today.  I used images from Sweet Sentiment Stamps.  I've used the stamp set - Stand Up Friends.  Sweet Sentiment Stamps is a sponsor of the PPC&F FB Group this weekend.

I fussy cut one of the Meerkats and colored her lightly with Copic Markers.  I can tell she is a girl, can't you?  I then positioned her atop a circle with the birthday phrase tucked behind her.  This was then placed atop a panel which was embossed with a birthday embossing folder.

Wishing Card

Hi everyone I'm using some amazing stamps and papers from Blank Page Muse.

Stamps:  Some See a Weed
Paper Pack:  Tattered & Worn 6x6

I thought the sentiment worked well with the embossing folder.
Cutting the paper to fit the embossing folder, the design was embossed proving a subtle pattern.
A top fold card was created and the embossed panel was matted before adding to the card.
The sentiment was then placed across the card.

Always There For You with TLC Designs

Hi everyone, it's getting colder here in New York and I've used TLC Designs dies and papers to create a sweet snow scene.

Using the stitched hillside die from the Land and Seas dies, I die cut 3 layers of white cardstock.  I lightly inked each with blue ink and adhered the 3 layers together.

Using paper from the Watercolor Naturals pattern paper, I embossed it with a snowflake embossing folder, then lightly inked  it with purple ink to coordinate with the purple card.  The snow mounds were layered on the embossed panel and the panel was then adhered to the card.

I printed the snowmen from the Snow Family Tree Fun digital set then colored them with Copic Markers.  After fussy cutting them, I placed them on the card, one behind a snow mound and one on top of the snow mound with foam adhesives for dimension.

The sentiment, from the Happy Bouquet digital stamp set, was slipped behind the snowman.  Stickles were added to the snow mounds for dimension.  Finally, I scattered pearls about  the snowflakes.

Quick and Easy Christmas Projects Day 10

Hi everyone.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  The last six years I've blogged about last minute Christmas ideas you could make in under 60 minutes.  Well, it's that time again and I've got some new projects to share.

It's Christmas Eve and I needed some gift bags.

Cutting Rinea Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper to fit within an embossing folder, emboss with a Christmas embossing folder.  You get amazing embossed details with Rinea Foiled Papers.  Mat the embossed panel with green cardstock and adhere it to a white gift bag.

Create a tag using a Spellbinders die.  Stamp and color a Christmas image with Copic Markers then fussy cut and add twine.  Add ribbon then tie to the gift bag.

And you've got a pretty gift bag in no time at all.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to stop by daily as I show you more quick and easy Christmas projects.

Happy Thanksgiving Platter

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Hope you are enjoying your day.

I'd like to share a decorative platter using etchall dip 'n etch liquid to etch the platter for our Thanksgiving table.

etchall dip 'n etchⓇ is a reusable etching liquid.  I placed the platter in a tin foil pan, bending the edges slightly so it fit.  Then I poured the  liquid so it covered the platter.

I waited approximately 15 minutes, then removed the platter, rinsed and dried it.   Since dip 'n etch is reusable, I poured the liquid back in the original container to be used for other projects.  The platter took on a pretty frosted appearance.

I die cut and embossed an assortment of leaves using Rinea Foiled Papers in Emerald Starstruck, Emerald/Gold Glossy, Ruby Starstruck, Ebony Starstruck, Marigold Starstruck, Gold/Gold Glossy, Copper Starstruck, Jade/Gold Glossy and placed them on the platter.

For definition, I formed the leaves and placed a candle in  the center.

Hope you are enjoying your day.

Harvest Decor with Rinea Foiled Papers

Hi everyone, I'm on the Rinea blog today with a Harvest decor piece that can remain out for the entire  fall season.  As you may remember from a previous post, I love this time of year.  It's getting cooler and the leaves are turning a variety of colors.

I found this metal and wood pumpkin in a store that was closing.  I knew  it was boring and that it needed some decorating, so I put it aside until  I could decide what I wanted to do.

Using an older Cuttlebug die and embossing folder, I die cut  and embossed an assortment of leaves from Copper/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, Ruby/Ruby Starstruck Foiled Paper, Margiold/Marigol Starstruck Foiled Paper, Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, Mocha/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Emerald/Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper.  Both the Starstruck and Glossy foils create amazing leaves.

Selecting an assortment of leaves, I placed them along the edges, but felt I wanted to add some leaf sprays to give the pumpkin more life and anchor the leaves.  I die cut  several leaf sprays from Emerald/Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper using a Spellbinders die.

I placed the leaf sprays and the leaves in a pleasing fashion along the edges of the pumpkin.  I also scrunched up the leaves to give them a more realistic appearance.
.

I added more leaf sprays as need till I was happy with the effect.  I wanted the leaf sprays to surround the leaves.

Along the bottom I added a final leaf spray and 2 leaves die cut from Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

Finally, I added a burlap bow to finish.
