Fairy Wishing Well

Hi everyone, I have another Fairy Stamper project to share.

Using watercolor inks, I created the background.
Next, I used the Fairy Hugs Party Streamers Stencil, adding gold embossing powder to create a windy-type effect.

I used the following Fairy Hugs stamps:  Wishing Well, Fairy Dictionary, Ania's Tree

Sympathy Card

Hi everyone, I'm using some amazing stamps from Blank Page Muse.

I created the background using watercolor metallics and water.  I used 140 pound watercolor paper because it holds a lot of water without buckling.  After taping the paper down, I began adding assorted watercolors.

I used a second piece of watercolor paper on top to pick up the excess watercolors, and it also helped dry the first panel!  Then I added more colors (and smooshed the second panel on top again) until I had the look I wanted.  A quick pass with a heat gun dried both panels.

Using a Lawn Fawn die, I created the stitched background.

Matting the panel with cardstock, I added it to a top folding card.  Stamping the hearts, I fussy cut them and added them to the card, placing the die cut sentiment on top.

Wood Wedding Album

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog using the Hearts 6x8 Wood Album.

I thought I would create a wedding themed book that can be used by the wedding guests to write notes (and perhaps pearls of wisdom?) to the newly married couple.

Using Prima Marketing shimmer paints, I painted the covers 2 different colors.

The Mr. and Mrs. chipboard title was the perfect add-on and I painted it black so it would really stand out on the cover of the book.

To add a bit of subtle depth to the cover, I used a script stamp with gold ink, randomly stamping it around the cover.

Cutting pages to fit the book, I punch holes  in all the pages, then put it binder rings.
Choosing some glittery ribbon, I tied it to the rings.

Welcome Fall

Hi everyone, I'm on the Dies R Us blog today.

As we head from summer into fall, I can almost hear the crunching leaves, can you?

I die cut the Maple Vine Frame from  Rinea Mocha/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.  The foiled paper die cut beautifully and was the perfect frame for my fall card.

Using The Best Glue Ever, I adhered the frame to a panel of Rinea Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper.

Because leaves come in a multitude of colors, I die cut the frame again with a variety of foils, fussy cut some of the leaves and adhering them back to the main frame, giving the card some dimension.

Stamping an image, I colored her with Copic Markers, fussy cut her, matted her with cardstock for emphasis, then fussy cut her again.   Finally, I slipped her behind some leaves along the bottom of the card.

Floral Fairy House

Hi everyone, I have another Fairy Stamper project to share today

Stamp Fairy House in black ink and emboss with clear embossing powder.  Add color with Copic Markers before die cutting the image,  Add color with Distress Oxide Inks in Bundled Sage and Faded Jeans.

Mat  the image with a larger die.

Create a 5 1/2' square card from brown cardstock.  Cut a 5" square panel from blue cardstock and stamp Fairy Hugs Poem using Versa Fine Clair in Morning Mist.

Add flowers and brads around the house on top of the stamped flowers.  Add the house to  the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Fairy Stamper Swinging Tiana

Hi everyone, I have another Fairy Stamper project to share.

I had this lovely die and thought the Fairy Hugs Fairy Swing and Fairy Hugs Tiana would look lovely in  the center.

Stamping them with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink, I then cut the panel to fit behind the die cut panel.   Adding pink brads along the swing chain helped tie it to the base card.  Nuvo drops were added to her wings.

Flowers were added across the arch and the panel was then added to a pink card.

While the card is flat for mailing purposes, it's actually a pop up card.  A simple die cut sentiment was added to the corner.

Happy Valentine's Day Candy Bar Wrapper

Hi everyone, it's a new month and the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog is to create anything you want, just be sure it includes more than one score.

Cut black cardstock 5 1/2" x 5 3/4".  Place the 5 1/2" edge at the top channel.

Score at 5", 4 3/4", 2 1/4", 2".
Fold along all scored lines.

Cut 12" length of ribbon.   Use Scor-Tape to adhere the ribbon to the front panel only.  Cut pattern paper and cardstock to fit the front.  Adhere the layers with Scor-Tape over the ribbon.

Also use Scor-Tape to add pattern paper inside the wrapper.

Stamp and die cut the oval for the front panel.

Place the candy bar inside then tie the ribbon at the bottom to close.   The candy bar can either simply slide out, or you can undo the ribbon and open the wrapper (which I think is a much better idea, don't you?)

Happy Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi everyone, I have a pretty set of Valentine's Day cards on the Dies R Us blog.

I love the new Tutti slimline dies and this background die is no exception.  I used Rinea Foiled Papers for a fun Valentine effect.

Remember to save all the die cut hearts.

After die cutting this panel from Blush/Gold Foiled Paper, I matted it on black cardstock for contrast.

I die cut another panel using Blush Starstruck Foiled Paper and matted it on Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper for a true Valentine effect.

Selecting a bunch of the die cut hearts, I used the Best Glue Ever to adhere the Blush Starstruck hearts on the black panel.  I didn't add all the hearts as I wanted some of the black background show.

Stamp the ladies from the Julie Nutting collection, color with Copic Markers, or another marker of choice, then fussy cut them to fit the cards.

Wrap each panel with ribbon then adhere the panels to cards.  Die cut Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Silver Starstruck Foiled Paper using Tutti Designs Stitched Rectangle Slimline die and adhere to each card slightly off center.   These panels will be used to anchor the stamped images.  Adhere the ladies to the cards, placing a Valentine's Day sentiment at the bottom.

Mini Friendship Cards

Hi everyone, I've created several mini friendship cards for a group of friends using Tutti Designs slim line dies which were scored in half.  This is a great way to use slim line dies in an alternative way!

I started with the Tutti Designs Scalloped  slim line die for the base, then scored each in half.

The 2nd layer is another Tutti Designs die cut to fit each card.

To create the sentiment shape, I first die cut the sentiment, then flipped the die around to add the stitching line across the top of  the sentiment.  The die easily lines up with the previous die cut stiches.  I created the black base in the same fashion,

After adhering the phrases to each card, I selected coordinating flowers from my stash and added them to the cards.  Liquid pearls were added about the cards.

Merry Christmas Poinsettia Tag

Hi everyone, I'm on the Clear Scraps blog with a Merry Christmas tag.

Using one of the acrylic tags from the Acrylic Tag Album, decorate with Rinea Jolly Variety Foiled Paper Variety Pack.    This Variety Pack has all the colors you need for Christmas creations.  Cut Emerald Glossy foil to fit and then adhere to the tag.  Emboss a strip of Ruby Starstruck foil, then tear the  right edge before adhering to the tag.

To create the bow, die cut Gold Glossy foil using Spellbinders dies.

Assemble the bow and adhere it  to the tag with a large brad.

Using the Joy Clair 3D Christmas Poinsettia stamp set, stamp Merry Christmas on a white circle and adhere to a Gold Glossy foil scalloped circle, then add to the tag.  Punch holes in the tag and adhere several different sized poinsettias and leaves using brads.

To finish, adhere red and gold dew drops around Merry Christmas. .

Pretty isn't it?
