ScorPal November Be Thankful

Hi everyone, it's time for a new Scor-Pal challenge.  Just create a project with more than one score.

Today, I'm sharing a tag using a scored panel for the background.

Cut pattern paper to fit the chipboard tag - approx. 4" x 7".

Score along every 1/2" across the panel.
Rotate and score every 1/2" again creating squares.

Ink over the scored lines with brown ink for definition.

Adhere the scored panel to the tag.
Cut off any excess and ink the edges with brown ink.
Add a burlap panel and assorted elements on top.

Finish by adding die cut mushrooms and flourishes to the tag.
Rather than adding twine to the tag hole, I placed a large brad and a flourish.
Then I added a twine bow.

This is a fun project to create with whatever left over elements you have available.

Thanks for stopping by.

Scorpal Waterfall Card

Hi everyone, it's time for a new Scor-Pal challenge.  Just create a project with more than one score.  Today, I've created a waterfall card.

This belly band wrapped waterfall card is a fun card to share with everyone.

Cut green cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2" to create the card.
Cut pattern paper to fit the front and base of the card.

To create the waterfall effect, cut green cardstock 2 1/4" x 11".
Cut 6 pieces of green cardstock 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".
Cut 6 pieces of pattern paper 2 1/4" x 2 1/4.
Corner round the bottom edges and adhere together.
Laying one of the squares on the length of green cardstock, score just above it.
Then score 6 additional lines 1/4" apart.

Place Score-Tape lining it at the scored lines.

Starting from the bottom, remove the Scor-Tape backing and adhere one of the squares.
Continue removing the backing and adhering the squares until all 6 are in place.

Placing the adhered panels face down, cut the excess cardstock so it aligns with the bottom edge of the first square.
Corner round the edges of the panel.
Cut pattern paper to fit and also corner round the edges.

Flip the panels over and cut pattern paper to fit the other side of the green panel.
This gives the waterfall a bit more strength.
Fold this panel down so it is behind the waterfall panels.

To create the mechanism, cut green cardstock 1" x 5" and fold it to fit around the back panel.
Slip the loose bottom green square under the wrap.
Add glue to the first (bottom) square where it overlaps the wrap.
Cut a tab and slip it between the layers to use as a "pull".

Flipping the panel over, add Scor-Tape to the wrap ONLY.
This piece will be adhered to the card and make the waterfall work.

Adhere the waterfall to the card base, being sure to line the tap with the bottom edge.
If you pull on the tab, the waterfall panels move.

Decorate the squares as desired with stamps and die cuts (preferably before adhering everything together)!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Scor-Pal Belly Band Accordian Card

Hi everyone, it's time for a new Scor-Pal challenge.  Just create a project with more than one score.

This is a really sweet project to create.
Just change up the papers and embellies for any occasion.

For this project, start with cardstock 5 1/2" x 12".
Placing the 12" length across Scor-Pal, score at 1 3/4", 4 3/4" and 7 3/4".

Mountain and valley fold on the score lines, creating a card that is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".
Fits perfectly in a standard envelope.

Cut pattern paper as follows:
3 pieces each 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
2 pieces each 2 3/4" x 5 1/4"
1 piece each 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"

To create the belly band, cut cardstock 3" x 12".
Score at 4" and 8 1/2".

Adhere the belly band together and decorate as desired.

I added a sentiment and assorted die cuts.
Assemble all, adding a pop dot behind the top mushroom.
Add some sequins to the empty spaces.

Decorate the card with flourishes, a phrase, flowers and more sequins.

Have fun!!

Scor-Pal Wishing You a Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, it's a new month and the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog is to create anything you want, just be sure it includes more than one score. It's almost Christmas so I created a card and coordinating envelope.

For the card, cut 1 piece of cardstock 7" x 6 1/2".
Score at 6 1/2" and fold.
Place Scor-Tape along the folded edge.

Cut another piece of cardstock 6 1/2" x 6 1/2".
Assemble together to create the card.

Create a scene on a circle die cut panel with stamps and die cuts.
Place Scor-Tape along the circular die cut.

Assemble the card.

For the envelope, cut pattern paper 10" x 10".
Using the Scor-Envie, place it in the right corner of the Scor-Pal.
Lay the paper against the Scor-Envie, score at 9 3/8" and 2 3/8".
Rotate and score again.

Cut out the small pieces where the scored lines intersect.
Fold on the score lines.
Add Scor-Tape to the bottom corner edges.

Decorate the front with die cuts and stamps.

The card fits easily into the envelope.

This would be a card you give to someone special at Christmas.
You wouldn't mail it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Scor-Pal Fall Blessings

Hi everyone, it's a new month and the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog is to create anything you want, just be sure it includes more than one score.

Cut cardstock 6" x 12".
Cut cardstock 3" x 12".

Score the card at 3" and 6".

Score the 3" panel at 6" and 3".

Cut striped panels to fit the card, cutting each slightly smaller than the card.
Add a 5" panel of green to the card base.
Decorate the 3" panel.

Adhere Scor-Tape to the 3" panel and adhere to the card base, lining it up so the card flexes.

As you open and close the card, the 3" panel stretches.

Add a circle to the front of the card and place squirrels and a tree.
Add assorted acorns across the card.
Stamp leaves and emboss the sentiment on the smallest panel.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter Gift Bags

Hi everyone, it's a new month and the challenge on the Scor-Pal blog is to create anything you want, just be sure it includes more than one score.

With Easter in a few weeks, I've begun creating Easter Gift Bags.  I love to create little treats for friends and family.  Not only are these bags fun to create, they also go together quickly and easily.

Cut designer paper into 2 pieces, each 6" x 6".
Using the Scor-Buddy, score at 1/2", 1 1/2" and 2 1/2".
Rotate and score at 1 1/2"

Cut off the small rectangle.
Cut up the 2 1/2" strip to the 1 1/2" line.

Fold along the score lines as shown.
Use the Stacker to hold Scor-Tapes.
Add a strip of Scor-Tape along the 1/2" edge.

Assemble the 2 panels to create the bag.
Fold up the bottom edges and adhere with Scor-Tape.

Punch holes in the top edges and thread ribbon as handles.

Decorate as desired.
I used Sizzix stamps and dies.

Thanks for stopping by.
