DAS VILLAIN For many of us heavily influenced by SDRE, you know the band were one of the progenitors of the emo sub-genre with copious doses of hardcore, post-hardcore, and indie rock into their sound. Release after the band's dissolution (in 1995), the band oft-referred "The Punk Album" is more casual and quirky than their stunning, yet cerebral debut Diary. Now, LP2 isn't about world-building, but what you get is a band being playful, never taking themselves overly serious. Favorite track: 8.

This is the 2009 reissue of Sunny Day Real Estate’s 1995 sophomore album, commonly, and largely unofficially, referred to as either LP2 or The Pink Album. We’ve been going with LP2 for a while now and plan to stick with it. This 2009 edition has been re-mastered and includes the bonus tracks “Spade and Parade” and “Bucket of Chicken,” as well as newly written liner notes.

LP2 is available on BLACK VINYL only.
