Install or delete apps on Apple TV
You can find a wide variety of apps to install in the App Store on Apple TV. If you no longer need an app you’ve installed, you can delete or offload it.
Install an app
When you find an app you want by browsing the App Store or searching with Siri, you can download it in the App Store.
On the Apple TV Home Screen, go to the App Store , navigate to an app, then select Buy or Get (for a free app).
Note: If you see Install, you’ve already purchased the app and you can download it again for free. If you see Open, the app is already installed; select Open to launch the app.
Delete or offload an app
On the Apple TV Home Screen, navigate to the app you want to delete, then press and hold the clickpad or touch surface on your remote.
Select Delete App, then select Delete or Offload.
Offloading an app removes it from the Home Screen to free up storage, but retains its data in case you install it again.
Deleting an app also deletes its data. You can download any app again that you’ve purchased on the App Store, free of charge, but the data may not be restored.
Note: Some apps and content providers, such as Netflix and Paramount+, require that you sign in before using them. When you open the app to sign in or to set up an account, follow the onscreen instructions.
