If you purchased your domain from GoDaddy when you signed up for Google Workspace, your domain registration will be migrated to GoDaddy starting September 11, 2025. After that date, GoDaddy will provide ongoing management, billing, and support for your domain.
When your domain is migrated, a new GoDaddy account is automatically created for you. You'll get an email with instructions on how to access this account.
Does this change apply to me?
This migration affects you only if you purchased a GoDaddy domain while signing up for a Workspace subscription. If GoDaddy is your domain registrar, you will be notified by email.
How do I find out if GoDaddy is my domain registrar?
To find your domain registrar, go to Manage domain registrar renewals.
What steps do I need to take?
You don't need to take any action before your domain is migrated. But if you want to update your domain contact information before the migration date, go to GoDaddy Domains Help.
After your domain is migrated, GoDaddy will send an email to your GoDaddy domain contact. This email will contain instructions on how to sign in to your new GoDaddy account, enter your billing information, and update your contact information.
Important: We recommend that you take these steps as soon as you get instructions from GoDaddy. This will help you avoid any issues with your domain registration renewal.
Support and next steps
