Learn how to navigate Gemini in Google Drive

Important: To use Gemini in Drive, you must have an eligible Google Workspace or Google One AI Premium subscription.

You can ask Gemini questions for help with general Drive tasks. For example:

“I need to share all files related to 'Project Everest' with our new contractor. Show me the fastest way to grant them edit access to the main folder and all its contents.”
“Locate the spreadsheet where we tracked Q1 KPIs for the 'Nova Campaign', specifically the one Priya updated last week.”

You can also ask questions from the web. To get answers from the web, in your prompt, include phrases like “from the web” or “from the internet.”

Find supported languages

You can use the Gemini in Drive side panel in some languages. Learn where you can use Google Workspace Labs.

Retry	Generate a different response.
Retry with Google Search	Search on Google for more information about your question or request.
View more	View more of the response.
View less	Minimize the response.
Show more	Show full search results when you search for a file.
Good suggestion	Give positive feedback about a response.
Bad suggestion	Report an issue with a response.
Gem	To save time with repetitive tasks, chat with a Gem or create your own.
Export	Export the response from Gemini to a new Google Doc or Sheet.
Clear selected sources	Clear the files or folders you previously selected to reset Gemini's scope.

Google Workspace with Gemini is constantly learning and may not be able to support your request.

If you get a suggestion that’s inaccurate or that you feel is unsafe, you can submit feedback.

On your computer, at the bottom right of the generated text, click Good suggestion or Bad suggestion .
If you click Bad suggestion , you can select the issue you found and enter additional feedback.
Click Submit.
