Play music while navigating

You can play, pause, skip, and change music without minimizing Google Maps navigation. 

Important: This feature is not available in all locations.

1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
2. Tap your profile picture or initial Settings Navigation Show media playback controls.
3. Choose a media app Next OK.
4. To change your media settings, tap your profile picture or initial Settings Navigation Music playback controls.
5. Controls for the media player you’ve chosen show at the bottom of the screen in Google Maps navigation.
