How to use Media Kit

Media Kit offers rich audience info and channel metrics to help creators position themselves effectively for brand deals and other monetization opportunities.

Eligibility

The Media Kit is available to all creators in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and can be downloaded on the Earn Page by clicking the link “Download your Media Kit.”

Currently, Media Kit can only be viewed and downloaded on Desktop through YouTube Studio.

View your Media Kit

You can view your Media Kit in YouTube Studio:

1. Use a computer to sign in to YouTube Studio.
2. In the left menu, click Earn .
3. Click the BrandConnect tab.
4. In the Media Kit card, click VIEW MEDIA KIT.

You can view your Media Kit in the “Earn” page:

1. Use a computer to sign in to YouTube Studio.
2. In the left menu, click Earn .
3. Under the “Creators Support and Tools” card, click the Download your Media Kit.

Audience and Channel Data

Media Kits contain rich audience data and channel metrics such as, but not limited to:

• Channel banner & bio
• Top audience and shopping categories
• Key channel stats and demographics
• Paid Product Placement campaign videos
• Top overall videos

Audience segments are made up of groups of people with specific interests, intents, and demographic info, as estimated by Google.

To customize a card:

1. Select Menu.
2. Click Edit.
3. Sort by the most relevant and most popular categories or use a search bar to find other audience categories.
4. Select up to 5 audience categories that are relevant for you and your brand deal.
5. Click Save.

Customize Your Media Kit Report

Some cards in the Media Kit report can be edited to help you highlight aspects of your channel that are likely to appeal to certain brands.

To customize a card in your Media Kit report:

1. Select Menu.
2. Click Edit.

Not all cards can be edited. If you cannot edit a given card, you can choose to exclude the info from the report. To exclude a card from the report:

1. Select Menu.
2. Click Hide.

When editing a card that includes videos, you can select up to 4 videos to include. For cards that contain categories, you may select up to 5 categories per card.

Download reports

When you’re done editing the report, you can preview and download your Media Kit.

• To preview the Media Kit: In the upper right corner, select PREVIEW.
• To download the Media Kit: In the upper right corner, select DOWNLOAD PDF.
  • Note: Creators in YPP can download the Media Kit through the Earn page > Download your Media Kit.

Make sure you’re comfortable with sharing your data with the recipient of the PDF (for example, a brand marketing manager).
