You can use SharePlay to watch YouTube videos with others while on a FaceTime call. First, a YouTube Premium member will need to start a live sharing session. Once the sharing session is started, others can join the call without a Premium membership.
Note:
- This is currently available on iPhone & iPad devices only.
- You must be signed in to YouTube with your personal Google account.
SharePlay
To start a sharing session:
- YouTube Premium member: First, sign in to your Google account.
- Next, start a FaceTime call.
- While you’re on a FaceTime call, tap the button to Share Content
and select YouTube. You can also open the YouTube app during your FaceTime call.
- Play a video you want to watch together. You’ll be asked to confirm you want to watch the video together with everyone on the call.
