Spotify storage information
Spotify uses your device memory to:
- Store parts of music and podcasts as cache, so it can play without lagging
- Store downloaded music and podcasts to play offline
We recommend having at least 1GB of free memory on your device for Spotify.

If no more stored data can be deleted, you need to free up space by manually removing downloaded tracks.

Downloads storage
If your Android device has an external SD card, you can store your downloads there instead of the device's internal memory.

The transfer takes a few minutes, depending on the size of your library. You can listen as normal during the transfer, but Spotify restarts afterwards.
