Stitched Friends in the snow - Colourific Inspiration.

Hello Everyone
and welcome to my blog.

Today I want to share a quick little card I made with stamps from Colourific.
Annelies have a great selection of stamps in the STORE, but the "Stitched Friends" are one of my favourite sets.. I have also used the "Christmas Minis" set for my card today.

For this little card I started by making a background of snow. Its made by simply tearing a piece of copy paper into something that resembles mountains. Then simply swipe your blending tool, starting on the paper and out onto your card, so you build up colour. Move the paper around and repeat till you get the desired effect.

I used the "Spotty Background" stamp to create the snowfall on the background. I simply stamped with versamark ink and set with white embossing powder.

My little stitched snowman is stamped and coloured with watercolour pencils on to water colour card stock, as is my little robin.
The candy cane I stamped with red distress ink and just dragged a bit of the stamped colour around.

I added them all to my snow background with foam tape, mounted the background at an angle on to my mat and then stuck to my card.
And that is all from me for today.

A take on No Line Colouring - Colourific Inspiration

Hello Bloggers
And welcome.

Today I want to share a take on "No Line" colouring.
As per usual I have used stamps from Colourific, and this time I used the
Hydrangeas
set.
Its a technique I love the look of but just never got the hang off. I'm not a whizz at colouring in anymore, simply because I stopped doing it as it was so time consuming. Instead I now use watercolours as I love the look and also as its so much faster than markers.

Anyway. I was playing the other day and decided I wanted my flowers to be colourful, so I stamped the flowers with Distress Oxide inks. It looked pretty but I wanted more colour so I went ahead and used the same colour inks as the stamped lines, to colour with. I simply pressed the ink pad on to my craft mat and used a water brush to colour in with.

The oxide ink leaves an oxidiced look to the colours.. hence the name I'm guessing lol, but it gives the colouring a bit more life. As I used the same colour the lines blure into the colouring.

It was an easy way to achive the look but I also believe its may be a good starting point to really learn this technique.

If you missed my YOUTUBE from last week, also using stamps from Colourific,  pop over HERE to watch it.

And dont forget to come and visit us in the Colourific FACEBOOK GROUP. We have a monthly "Anything goes" (open to all stamps) challenge with a prize donated form Colourific.

And that is all from me for today.

Mixed media card - Colourific Inspiration

Hello Bloggers
and welcome to my blog.
Its once again Wednesday and my turn to share some  inspiration using the amazing stamps from Colourific.  Ive used a selection of stamps for the mixed media card Ive made for today. You can find them all in the STORE.

I started by adding distress ink to my background. I used water colour card stock to make sure it could take enough water to make the colours blend.

I used Archival black ink to stamp strait onto my background. I used the A6 Borders and Stems and the A6 Grunge background.

I stamped the butterfly and the sentiment from the A5 Butterflies take flight set on to scrap watercolour card stock and also used distress ink to colour, but this time i used a homemade silver mist spray as my water. This has given the sentiment and the butterfly a bit of sparkle.

I cut out the butterfly and added to my card base using foam tape.
The sentiment I cut into single words and added scattered around the card.

This is such an easy way to make a mixed media look to a card and can be done using any stamps you have in your stash.

And that is all from me for today.

Christmas is coming - Colourific Inspiration

Hello Bloggers
and welcome to my blog

It's once again wednesday and my turn to share some inspiration for Colourific.
For today I have a couple of christmas cards to share using a few of the christmas stamps. Its never too early to start the christmas cards is it? lol You can find the stamps I've used and all the other fantastic stamps in the STORE.
For my cards today, I have used the following:
A6 -Holly & Berries Background
A6 - Xmas text Background
A5 Stitched Friends

Both cards has been made the same way. I started by stanping the background strips with the background stamps. The red one is coloured with distress oxide "mop up" and the green one was coloured with water colour pencils. Both of my stiched friends was stamped, coloured and fuzzy cut before being added on top of a die cut circle from vellum.

And that is pretty much it.. If you wanted to take this card to the next level, you could finish it with a few gems and even a greeting but I tend to keep my christmas cards extra simple.

And that is it from me for today.

Book marks for my book worms - Colourific Inspiration

Hi everyone
and welcome to my blog.

My house is full of book worms. I have always been an avid reader myself but now I have 3 children who are all book worms too. Its currently summer holliday here in Ireland and should you by any chance take a walk through our house, you will find at least 2 people reading at any time of the day lol.. Anyway.. Many books on the go, means many book marks are needed. I always try to have a few extra lying but had run out so for todays post I decided to make a few.

So for todays project for  Colourific
I pulled out some tags and my stamps and got started..

For the boy tags I used:
A6 - grunge background
A6 - Alphabet & Numbers

And for the girls tags I used:
A6 - Moderne Flowers
A5 - Peonies

Find them in the STORE along with all the other amazing stamps.

***

All the tags were made the same way.
I used tags I cut from canvas paper. (After they were finished and totally dry I layered them up on another tag cut from card stock to make them more sturdy) I used Distress Stains as my colouring and used a water brush to move the colour to where I wanted it.

I stamped using a variety of Archival inks as they are water proof and stayed in place as I moved the colour around.

The "read" on the boys tags, I stamped each letter onto a scrap piece of card stock and glued onto the tag individually.

Normally I would finish adding a piece of ribbon to the top of the tag, but my kids has asked me not too as they find it distort the books as they pile them up.. Their wish is my command eh lol

And that is it from me for today.

Im back at the table... Colourific Design Inspiration

Well Hello Hello Hello..

Omg I cant believe its been so long since I last posted here on my crafting blog. Last post was in November..
Truth be told, for personal reasons, I took a big step away from my craft table and just didn't have the heart to go back. I was even unsure if I ever would step back, but fate had other ideas and back I went. And I am really excited to be back. I had clean forgotten how much I enjoy just sitting relaxing and creating.

And just as I got back to the table, Annelies, the designer from Colourific Designs, offered me a place back on her Design Team. I tell ya.. Fate lol

So for my first post after my wee break is as you may have guessed, for

Colourific

If you visited my blog before, you will know my style is simple technique. I don't do difficult at all and I prefer my cards simple. So with that said...

This card is a simple stamping and masking technique.
I started by stamping the (red) flower in the corner. I then re-stamped the flower onto a post-it-note and cut it out. Adding the post-it-note over the flower I then stamped the (pink) flower in the other corner and finished with the (orange) flower above. I made post-it-note masks for all the flowers and stamped the leaves .

Then it was a simple matter of stamping my greeting and colouring in. I tend to use water colours or water colour pencils for my colouring and that's what I used here.

A very simple card but rather effective.

I used the flowers from the - A5 Peonies stamp set
and the sentiment is from the - A6 Princess Text set.

And that is it from me for today.

Colourific Inspiration - Colourful Christmas Card

Hello Beautiful People
and welcome to my blog.

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
Colourific.

I have once again used the  "Stitched Friends" for my main image. I love this little snowman.
My sentiment is from the
"Christmas time text set.
My Background has been made using the tiny star stamps from the "Princess Carriage" set.
For some reason my close up pictures have dissapeared from my pc and my phone, I do appologise but hope you can still see the card ok.

This card was really fun to make. I started with my snowman which I stamped on to watercolour cardstock, then coloured with watercolour pencils. I finished him with lots of glitterglue lol.

While he was drying I made my background. I just took a white piece of cardstock and stamped all the little stars with different colours till I had built up the whole space.
I stamped using distress oxide inks.
Once all way dry, I matted and layered onto red cardstock and finished with my little greeting.
And that was all. Very easy and turned out very cute I think

Colourific Inspiration - quick 1 layer christmas card

Hello Beautiful People
and welcome to my blog.

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
Colourific.

I have another Christmas card for you today using my little Christmas tree.. Can you tell he's my favourite?? lol

I tend to make my Christmas cards very simple.. I make and send roughly 60-80 card each year so I need them to be fast. Also I'm very well aware that after Christmas they all pretty much end in the bin (which is OK) so they have to be cost effective as well..

The card I've made for today fit that bill perfect. Minimal supplies, quick to make, yet cute and christmassy.

As I said, a very simple card. Ive used the "Stitched Friends" stamp set and my greeting is from the "Christmas time text" set.

I used watercolour card stock for this card. I stamped my tree with versamark ink and heat set the image with black embossing powder. Once cooled I coloured with watercolour pencils. Its hard to see in the pictures but I always colour a light blue shadow around the image. I stamped my greeting, also with versamark ink and also heat set with black embossing powder.

I finished the card with a mat of gold mirricard before sticking it to my card blank.

And that is all for today. Hope you like my wee card.

The little christmas tree.. Colourific Inspiration.

Hello Beautiful People
and welcome to my blog.

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
Colourific.

My mojo has been on a holiday for the last few months.. Ya I know, it happens to us all but its so disheartening lol.. Lucky for me I normally craft in bulk so always have a card or 2 lying to share if need be but yesterday I decided to have another attempt at creating..
My little girl was home with a cold so we stuck on a Christmas movie (yes I know its only November, but Christmas should be all year in my book hehehe) and crafted away together..

And lo and behold, I came up with a couple of cards that I'm happy with.

This little card is a bit on the darker side I think but it has a bit of sparkle too it that brightens it a bit.
My card blank and my background is both craft card. I used the "Stitched Friends" stamp set for my topper and the "Christmas Text" stamp for my background.

I started by heat embossing the background with clear embossing powder. I repeated this till I had the whole background done. I then added distress ink around the edges. This really makes the embossing stand out. I then stamped and coloured my little tree. I stamped on to watercolour card stock and heat set it with black embossing powder. I coloured with watercolour pencils.

I matted and layered my background on to gold mirri card and finished with a black heat embossed sentiment also on gold mirri card. The greeting is also from the stitched friends set.

And that is all for today. Hope you like my wee card.

Lipstick Background - repeat stamping - Colourific Inspiration

Hello Beautiful People
and welcome to my blog.

Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
Colourific. For todays project I have used the
A5 Girls Night Out stamp set.
Its a class set that features some sexy stilettoes and some hot lips, but it also have 2 little lipstick stamps. I love these and when I saw this set, I knew strait away what gonna make..
Another background lol

Its a very simple card but its one of my favorite layouts. It lets the stamp speak for itself yet it delivers the message intended, in this case a "Hello".

I have worked on watercolour card stock, repeat stamped the 2 lipstick stamps with archival ink as its waterproof, and then just used distress ink to colour with.
I use my Distress ink pad, just pressed my pad onto my glass mat and then used a water brush to pick up the colour with.

My sentiment is a die I tripple cut and layered, I stamped the strip where it says beautiful (stamp from a freebie set) and overlaid the sentiment on a wee strip of vellum.
I matted my card onto black cardstock and finished with a few star gems.
And that is it for today.

Colour Crazy Challenge Blog - Guest Designer - CAS Christmas Bear

Hello Beautiful People
And welcome to my blog.

Todays post is another Guest Design Team I have been invited to join.
This one is called
Colour Crazy
Thanks for having me guys xx

Its a weekly challenge with an "Anything Goes" theme, as long as you colour your images. But pop over to the blog for all the rules and regulations.

I have joined the Design Team this for this weeks challenge and used a digital image from Crafty Sentiments called "Herbie the Bear"

With this little bear I decided to have a go at a CAS (Clean and simple) card. Its something I never really feel I got the hang off. Ever so Often I give it a go but end up with a card I think is bland. However, my daughter thought it was very clean and elegant yet Herbie makes it cute, so I decided to submit it.

I started by printing Herbie on to watercolour cardstock. I left him to dry over night. I then cut him so he fitted in the corner of my card size (140x100mm). I stamped my greeting which is from a magazine freebie stamp set, as is the holy, and coloured the lot in with water colour pencils.

I finished by layering him onto a red mat and mounted him to my card blank.
And that is it. For all the details of the challenge pop over to the blog.

BeeCrafty.. Ghetto Rat XL..

Hello Blogger Friends..

Time for me to share a bit of inspiration for
BeeCrafty..

For today I have 2 projects made with using the Ghetto Rat XL.
You can find him and all the other goodies in the BeeCrafty Online Store.

This one is an MDF tag with lots and lots of yummy Lustre Luxe. If you have visited my blog before you will know that I simply adore Lustre Luxe. I just love how smooth it comes on to just about any surface, the shimmer and not to mention the cover..
For this project I used 3 colours. Sea Green, Lavender Quartz and Moonstone. I added the green and purple strait onto the tag, no priming. I then stamped Mr Rat and heat set him with black embossing powder. Once cooled I used the "Chainlink" Dinkable and used the moonstone through it. I also used the "Star" Dinkable with some clear embossing past to add a bit more dimention.
I finished with the "Being Happy" Sentiment stamp, which I stamped and cut in half.

This one is an A5 water colour background. I stamped Mr Ghetto Rat  and heat set him with black embossing powder. I used a sparkle paste through the "Cracked glass" Dinkable and finished with the "Dreams come true" sentiment stamp , well a piece of it anyway lol..

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

BeeCrafty on Hochanda.. Banksy..

Hey Bloggers..

Sam from BeeCrafty was on Hochanda yesterday (Tuesday 27/02-2018) with some amazing goodies..
A huge selection of Banksy stamps, Background stamps, the Dinkables and some brand new MDF.

Sadly due to illness I had to sit this one out but as soon as I could drag myself out of bed I managed to get a few cards made and I thought I'd share some of them today.

This one is made with a watercolour background, sparkle paste through the star Dinkable and using both sizes of the "Decision to try" stamp.

This background is made with acrylic paint sprays, Sparkle paste, Lustre Luxe and the drop Dinkable. Sentiment "Dreams come true" is made the same way.

This one is a Gelli plate background and then stamping with the Brick background stamp.
I used the "Girl watering Aerial" banksy stamp. The stamp was'nt wide enough to cover the bottom of my card so I inked up a bit of the base of the stamp and extended the "greenery". I finished again with the "Dreams come true" stamp.

Right last one for today.. This one is an A5 and the background is a "mop up" of Distress ink.
I used the Circle Inkable as well as the Heart Dinkable to create a bit of debth on my card. I once again used the "Dreams come true"sentiment and used the Banksy "Caught in the rain" stamp.
I extended some of the rain lines with a black pen as I wanted the girl and the sentiment to kind a flow together.

And that is it for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
