Sew day with Rosie...
Here is my niece modeling the shrug her mom, Rose, knit. Rose did a fantastic job and the yarn is so wonderful and soft...This will be incorporated into her her spring/Easter outfit this year...Doesn't it make you want to be little again?
Front version of shrug--wonderful...
Back view of sweater/shrug...magnificent...
A few posts back, I was making the pink puppy out of 2 1/2" squares. Saturday, I cut out and sewed the red/yellow/black puppy for darling nephew. Here are the kids posing with their puppies--the pink one was named Rapunzel--any surprise and the boy version was named Cody...I think it is love...

Spiders...
When I run across something fun on the internet, sometimes I save it to my documents. Going through them the other day, I found this knitted spider dishcloth pattern. The website I found it on is www.designs-by-emily.com. She has various other dishcloth patterns on the site as well. I thought that I would knit some up for upcoming Halloween to give out as gifts...quick knit and good directions!!

Fun Projects for the Blahhhhhhh January!!
I got an email from "You Can Make This", a pattern company that sells embroidery, quilting, sewing, crochet....patterns. It said if I took the survey, I would get a free download pattern. Well, here it is partially done. You paper piece the hearts, sew them together. Put a couple borders around them and add a back and it makes a cute long pillow--just in time for the L-O-V-E holiday. If you are like me, I love holidays and holiday quilts, pillows, etc. for decorating. This has been a fun project so far.
There is a fun blog called, "Kris Knits" on my sidebar. She designs all these cute things for knitting. This project is a knit along or KAL. If you go to her website, you can start up now because we are not too far along and you can catch up real quick. I wanted to show you the project without showing the design so it won't spoil it for you. She is going to do a dishcloth each month of the year as a knit along. Come join in on the fun. I had a blast doing this much!!

This is my youngest child holding Lucy in her pretty little black dress.

A side view of her little black dress with the pearl beads. How do you like the ruffles at the bottom of the dress?
Lucy modeling the little black dress for you. I finished sewing the beads on it and we put it on her and snapped some photos. I found this cute pattern on mysavannahcottage.wordpress.com. Her instructions for me were easy to follow and this is a quick knit. If you have a small dog, you might want to make this sweet little sweater for her...

Fun Day at Gardner Village...
Every year at this time, my family gets together with my mom, sisters and cousins. We meet at Gardner Village and have lunch....we then find our way over to Pine Needles for some lovely quilt shopping.

The applique on this quilt was so endearing. The paperdolls were just fun. My niece bought a few patterns from this quilt for my sister to work on for her.

Witches were everywhere...Love this season....
This adorable little girl is my niece. She just turned 4 and got to come with the big girls. My mom made her this adorable little apron and...
knitted this gorgeous coat, which is fully lined and has a velvet collar. My mother had started this coat several years ago for other grandchildren, but just recently got it finished and it happened to fit this little sweetheart. My mom does the most beautiful job of knitting and finishing work!!
