Hobby Boss Heinkel He 162 "VolksJager"

Hobby Boss Heinkel He 162 "VolksJager" or "Salamander" Over the summer I bought myself He 162 from Hobby Boss and I was not expection much and that is what the kit is a basic but decent fast build kit and it looks like a He 162 but the wheel bays and cockpit are very basic and that is what to expect. So what started like a weekend build stalded fast and was set aside for some time, I figured I can do a new seat and but of cockpit details but in the nd does did not fit well because the cockpit is to shallow, I shorted the seat but that looked horrible and ended up grinding out the cockpit making it as deep as I could and started building a full cockpit. Now I somewhat what to also open a few hatches. Diving in deep what was planned to be a weekend build ooh well.

DVL Jagdsegler

One of the more crazy late war German designs where small rocket power gliders, in this case the DVL jagdsegler and it had a pulsejet similar to the V1 rocket a lot just smaller.
Armament ranged from bombs, torpedo's or rockets. The version I first build was armed with 8 RZ65 rockets but I did not like the result so sanded of the bulges and redid the engine to fit the first drawing below, this version was armed with 4 panzerschreck rockets, I liked the pulsejet more then strait rocket engine but 4 panzerschrecks does not really make sense in this case so left does off, maybe I will add some R4M rockets, I still have a few left and would fit as a anti bomber parasite fighter.

It does still have a small problem and that is the glass, I dont have a vacuform machine and would need 1 to form the cockpit, well will need to build 1 soon and finish it all.

Argus AS 292 painted

Finally painted my cast of the Argus AS 292, I have added 2 panzerfausts to make it a attack drone/UAV, this would not be that successful in real life as there is no way to aim the panzerfausts but its still better then the Bucker Bu181 which was also used as a tank buster but was manned and most got shot down and killed, well this way its at least a smaller target and unmanned.

a bit of history of the real AS292 can be find at a older post of mine
http://midnightgreys.blogspot.nl/2015/09/argus-as292.html

Im still not that good at painting and weathering did not work as well as I hoped, the wash did not flow well and I simple need to practice more.

Helga is here to show of the plane

Argus AS 292

Meet the Argus AS 292 a early UAV from 1939, a very simple plane that started out as a target drone but later on a new housing with a camera added and used as a scout/reconnaissance plane instead, about a 100 where build in 1942 and 1943, there was a delay in building because Argus was to busy making engines so this got pushed back a few years.

Length: 2.40 m
Wingspan: 2.40m

 Powerplant: 1 × Argus, 3 hp (2.2 kW); later 6-7 hp

not much to say about it other then that so picture time

and now from the model
