National Palace Museum |
The National Palace Museum of Korea opened in 1222 displaying relics from the Joseon Dynasty [1322~1210]. Over 20,000 royal relics from Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine are on display. |
Gyeongbokgung Palace |
Built in 1325, Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces in Seoul. Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces. |

Insa-dong, located in the heart of the city, is an important place where old but precious and traditional goods are on display. There are many galleries and traditional restaurants, teahouses, and cafes. |

Gyeonggijeon Shrine |
Gyeonggijeon Shrine was erected in 1410 and holds the portrait of King Tae-jo, the founder of the Joseon dynasty. The King and his wife’s mortuary tablets are enshrined here at Jogyeong Shrine. |
Royal Portrait Museum |
Opened on November 6, 2010, the Royal Portrait Museum is one of the newest attractions of Jeonju, located within the Gyeonggijeon Shrine. |

Jeondong Cathedral |
Jeondong Catholic Church in Jeonju was built in honor of Roman Catholic martyrs of the Joseon Dynasty. |

Poongnammoon Gate |
Pungnammun Gate, which is the on the south part of the old Jeonju Castle is the only remained National Treasure in the city. |

Nambu Traditional Market |
Jeonju Nambu Traditional Market opened as a regular public market in 1905. Currently the market is comprised of about 800 stores selling vegetables, fruits, food, dried fish, general goods. |
