Name Frame

A co-worker of my daughters is getting married this weekend and my daughter asked me to make this.  She wanted something rustic looking so we found this empty frame at michaels and bought a piece of glass for it.  We bought a small roll of burlap and laid it under the glass and I cut the vinyl for on top of the glass.

Guy Card and Beer Mug

Yesterday was my husbands Birthday so I had to whip up a card for him.  I cut out these gears from the Silhouette online store in black and red and then added some brads that look like screws.
This is a mug that I did for a Father's Day gift with the guys from Duck Dynasty.

8 Months til Christmas Blog Hop 2013

Well it is 8 months until Christmas and I really thought that we would have some warmer weather by now.  Every time we get snow my husband says "this will be the last of it" and the next week it is snowing again.  I have had enough of it.
On with the blog hop, if you came from Sara's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and would like to hop with us you can start at Shari's blog.
Our theme for this month is Animals.  I used a reindeer as the animal on both of my projects.  My first project is a card using Copic markers and a stamp by Recollections.
Copics:
E00, E33, E35, E37
B00, B02
R22, R24, R29
YG67

For my second project I used vinyl in a picture frame.  The frame is 7.5" x 15" which is wider than most cardstock so I used wrapping paper for the background.  I flipped my designs so that I could stick them to the back of the glass.
A couple of weeks ago we had Scrapfest in Kitchener and my daughter and I went and did some shopping.  I was also lucky enough to finally be able to meet up with one of my fellow blog hop friends, Heather.  We have been talking for a couple of years now and have been wanting to meet up.  She is just as adorable in person and I really enjoyed meeting her and her lovely parents.  We will now have to plan to get together with more of our local blog hop friends.

The next stop on the blog hop is Tara's blog

Tumblers

This was my first attempt at vinyl on tumblers.  I personalized each of  these for my Nieces and Nephew and then I filled them with some Easter candy.

This was also my first try at layering things like the Spiderman and the soccer ball.  I will need some practice with it.

You Are My Sunshine

I made this for a baby shower gift.  I like that it is appropriate for a babies room but could be used anywhere in the home and it isn't babyish.
The saying is cut from vinyl and attached to the grey polka dot paper.

Kitchen Aid

My daughter wanted me to decorate her Kitchen Aid mixer with vinyl.  She chose the saying and the cake for it.  Are you familiar with the song "I Like Big Butts" by Sir Mix A Lot from Shrek, well she wanted "I Like Big Cakes" and her Kitchen Aid is Sir Mix A Lot.

Custom Vinyl Orders

I have had a few custom orders lately.  The first one is a subway art which includes the family name, the family members names and some words that mean something to the family.  I was doing these with my Imagine and printing them.  This is the first one that I have done with the vinyl and  it more crisp and clear than the printed ones.
My next order was for a customized cake carrier.  This one says" Baked with Love by" and "Something Sweet", with black and hot pink vinyl.

Be sure to stop by on Friday January 25th for the 11 Months til Christmas Blog Hop!

Cupcake Carrier

I was asked to decorate a cupcake carrier by a co-worker for her daughter.  She had seen the one that I did for the Secret Santa at work and loved it.  She said I could chose the colours and she wanted it to say "Something Sweet by Nicole" and whatever else I wanted.  So on the other side I put "Cute as a Cupcake".

I wanted to let you know that I had to add on the comment verification due to the number of spam comments I was getting.
I am also thinking about changing the name of my blog.  I am still thinking about a new name but I would like something that sounds a bit more professional as I am looking at selling some of the things that I make.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Christmas Gifts

These are some gifts that I made for Christmas.  First are the handsanitizers that I decorated for the girls(and 1 guy) at the bank.  I removed the label from the bottles and then cut the initial from each persons first name in black vinyl then in a coloured vinyl cut there names and put it over the initial.  I then just added some polka dots and a ribbon.  Except for George, his is just plain.

Next is chalkboards.  I bought some assorted frames and my hubby painted the frames red and cut hard board to fit and painted it with chalkboard paint.  I bought a couple of packs of chalkboard markers at Hobby Lobby and attached one with velcro

Merry Christmas!  I am off for the next five days now, so I am hoping to do some crafting.

Cake Carrier

At work we picked names for a Secret Santa. The person that I picked likes to bake and I had this cake carrier that I had bought to decorate so I thought this was the perfect time for this.  It was my first time putting larger words with vinyl on a curved surface.  It wasn't as easy as I had hoped, the words need a bit of a curve to them.  It was a learning process.
I hope she likes it.

Store Signs

I had someone ask me to make a couple of signs for her store window.  I love the silhouettes from the SIL store.  These signs are just on foam core so they are nice and light.  It was nice to do an easy to weed vinyl project.

1 Month 'til Christmas

If you came here from Mary's blog then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to stop by my blog and you would like to hop along with us then you can go to my friend Heathers blog at http://princesspaperprojects.blogspot.com/.
Well this is our last blog hop before Christmas.  It's crunch time.  Time to get those Christmas cards mailed out.  Now for the big decision will be who gets what card.  Sending the best cards to the people who will appreciate it the most.  Admit it, I know you do it too. lol
This month I have made a card and a holiday decor item.
My first project is a plate to put your cookies for Santa on.  This was super easy and I used my Cameo to cut the vinyl for the lettering and the large circles and punches for the smaller circles.
I work beside a little Cafe and the owner has put these 2 plates on her counter to see if I can sell some.  My fingers are crossed.

My second project is a card that was also cut with the Silhouette Cameo.  It was a card file from the Silhouette store which I adjusted to just be a layer for the front of my card.
Your next stop is Georgiana's blog
I hope that you have enjoyed the Christmas cards and projects that we have been making every month and I hope that we have inspired you.  Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and wishing health and happiness to all.

Halloween Charger

I am having so much fun using my Silhouette Cameo.  I picked up these chargers at Michael's in assorted colours.  This one is a lime green.  I made this this morning while I was doing laundry and before I went to work.  I had to find a little time to play.
