Going-To-The-Sun Mountain, St. Mary Lake, Glacier National Park. 3004. Photo by Hileman. SA-H215.
This postcard is not titled. It is on the same page as the above postcards so I assume that it is of a scene in Glacier National Park. All the post cards are glued down in the scrapbook.
The couples that took this trip were at Glacier National Park on July 11 & 12, 1947. I have said it before, but this scrapbook is one of my favorite garage sale finds.

Photographs of Chateau Lake Louise, July 14, 1947.
July 14, 1947. Photographs of Chateau Lake Louise from the scrapbook. Here are just a few of the photographs of Chateau Lake Louise from the scrapbook of two couples traveling from Houston, Texas across America to Canada. I know the names of the husbands, Wallis & Elton, but I do not know the wives names.
Luncheon Menu from Chateau Lake Louise, July 14, 1947.
July 14, 1947. Luncheon Menu from Chateau Lake Louise. This is from the scrapbook that I bought at a garage sale. I find it interesting that different menus were printed everyday for both lunch and dinner. In the evening guests could listen to Jean Isobel Hayes, soprano, in the Lounge or guests could dance the night away with Jack Madden & His Orchestra in the Ballroom. Sounds like a great time to me!

Tower Falls.
July 09, 1947. Here is a photo of one of the couples at Yellowstone National Park.
I was lucky enough to purchase a scrapbook at a school garage sale. Two couples went on vacation together, leaving Houston on July 03, 1947 and traveled through Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, arriving at Banff, Canada on July 13, 1947. They left Banff and traveled through Idaho, Washington, Utah, Arizona and arrived back in Houston on July 26, 1947. The album is full of photos, postcards, menus and other assorted paper ephemera. They had one terrific vacation. I LOVE this scrapbook.

CHARLES VENTURA Designs in 1947 and 1988
January 12, 1947. I was really surprised when I saw Charles Ventura's name among the people that submitted outfits for BOOTS & her friends. Here is a dress for Cora and he also submitted a dress for BOOTS in 1945.
1988. And 41 years later here is a Charles Ventura original paper doll from THE ORIGINAL PAPER DOLL ARTIST'S GUILD newsletter.
