Jeremiah is recovering after heart surgery and I think this his first smile since surgery! His smile is SO contagious!!

In a few hours Ma Jing Ru will be going into surgery to repair her heart which should have been done months ago. 

Months ago her family had a choice to make, abandon her or try and find the money to do her surgery. They chose to keep her, but couldn't find the money in time, and now their daughter is critical and may not live through surgery. 

This should be unacceptable to every one of us. A parent should not have to make this choice. We can choose to partner together with these families and give them HOPE, or we can choose to do nothing and support them abandoning their child and adding one more "orphan" statistic. The alternative is death, and we will not choose that.

Sad news to share that TiFan, part of the LOVE project, passed away this morning.

We are rejoicing that Jeremiah is doing well and left ICU today!

Update on Jeremiah

Jeremiah is out of surgery and is recovering in the ICU. Please be praying for a swift recovery for this precious little guy!

After spending 6 weeks in India to have a heart valve replacement surgery Fortune is back in Uganda!! Praise God for a safe trip and a successful surgery!

Baby Jeremiah!

Baby Jeremiah is one happy little guy and he has the cutest dimples!! He was admitted into the hospital yesterday because he needs urgent heart surgery. His surgery is estimated to cost $7,000. Please be praying for him, his surgeons and for the funds!

Moses!

Baby Moses is getting stronger after heart surgery and we continue to monitor him closely as he is on many medications. Please continue to pray for his healing!!

Along time gone

After a long time away we have decided to open up the blog again.  The purpose of the blog will be to keep you informed of the day to day, as well as the good, bad and ugly.

Here's hoping we can keep it up!

Want to keep special focus on the LOVE project.  God has opened the door for family preservation, and while the need for orphans and abandoned children is huge, preventing the crisis that leads to their abandonment is something we are passionate about!  The LOVE project requires a huge amount of funding because the funds are specifically for expensive surgery and medical costs for critical kids.
