I'm loving these little bears sooooo much!! Can't you tell! :0))))
There are some brand new images each week, so why not have a little lookie here...

My card that I would like to share with you today is again inspired by our challenge:

I have used the oh so sweet NEW TEDDYBEA_139 image coloured with Prisma pencils and blended with Sansador...used dabber paint around the edges, great for softening the edges of the black card stock which has also been embossed with pink stars but they are hard to see...

Created 'Happy Birthday' in the balloon and sentiment "Here's looking forward to your Birthday" on my computer...stamped out the stars in black ink, embossed them and painted with pink liquid pearls, added loads of glitter...

Added Stickles to Teddy Bea and created a star border with pink distress powder, added flowers, butterfly and pearls from liquid pearls and HEY PRESTO!!

Card Recipe:

Stamps: New digi TEDDYBEA_139, Magnolia 'Star' & 'Stars Border'
Ink: Black Versafine, Clear Versamark, White Ranger Dabber Paint, Pink Liquid Pearls

I have used black, white and a touch of pink...

I have used a new Teddy Bea image TEDDYBEA_138, who is proving very popular with the girlies at Teddy Bo Towers!!! It is difficult to see but I have coloured Bea with a pink shimmer paint and stickles on her dress, used Glossy Accents on her hat and added glitter and pink distress powder...

I made a black background with clear embossing powder, I love this effect on black cardstock, the designs really pop out and are so shiny... used MS around the page flower punches, a daisy punch and layered image on a nestie die cut layer...

Also added white pearls to the little flower centers...and created the sentiment from my computer...

Tutorial for using decal waterslide papers to make pretty Teddy Bea tealights

Right, before we begin, I must warn you that this is VERY, VERY addictive! So make sure you are well stocked up with decal papers lol!

Just a quick tip, before you scan your image, cut it to the size you want by using a circle nestie or similar cutting system, as this will save your precious ink…I, unfortunately, only thought about this afterwards!

You will need the following:

  • Decal waterslide papers for inkjet printer – clear or white, I got mine from eBay
  • Inkjet printer
  • A Teddy Bo or Teddy Bea image
  • 4x Tealights or as many as you like
  • Clear acrylic spray paint
  • Bowl of water

Now, lets get started:

1. Scan you image, then shrink it to the size for a tealight which is about 4cms.
2. Print out the image in black and white (saving the precious colour ink). This will be your template image for the colour images.

3. To make the most out of the decal paper, cut the decal paper into pieces to just fit over the image, in my case I will need four pieces.

4. Place one piece of decal paper over the template image and stick in place with tape – make sure that the tape is not overlapping where the image will print.

5. Chose your printer settings, I used ‘Photo paper’ and ‘Best’ in COLOUR.
6. Print out your colour image and carefully remove the decal paper
7. Repeat no. 4 to 6 for the amount of tea lights you want to make.
8. Once all your images are printed, carefully place them on a piece of scrap paper and gently tape them down, this prevents them from moving when sprayed with acrylic paint.

9. Make sure you are in a well ventilated place (I went out into the garden), follow the instructions on the can of acrylic spray paint and spray over the images. It took about 10 minutes to dry. Then spray a second time and let them dry, about another 15 minutes.
10. Once the images are dry, use a tea light to trace around on the images and cut them out. Make a hole in the centres for the candle wicks to poke through.

11. In a bowl of water, place the images and make sure that they are totally covered, they will curl up but should flatten out. Leave them in the water for about 10 to 30 seconds.

12. Take them out of the water, careful slide the transfer off the paper and slip the candle wick through the hole and gentle pat around to adhere the transfer to the candle, any overlapping bit just gently press around the sides and leave to dry for about 30 minutes.
13. Once dry, place the tea lights back into their cases and VOILA!!

Beautiful Tealights!!!

Hope you enjoyed my first tutorial and hope you will become as addicted as me!

Next up is a tea light box but that’s another story!! :)

Candles & Tiles using Decal Papers...

Good morning lovely peeps...

Just a quick update before I go to work...

Well, it Friday again...HOORAH...and it's all happening at Teddy Bo Towers...catch up with all the gossip and latest news and releases from the bears...and join along with the latest Teddy Bo Tuesday Challenge #15 'Alter Something' for the next two weeks finishing at MIDNIGHT UK time on Sunday 7th August.

Here is my inspiration for you...using decal waterslide paper for inkjet printers, using the delightful bears...'Sugar Plum Fairy' Teddy Bo_112 & 'Your wish will come true' TeddyBea_116...

For the ‘ALTER SOMETHING’ Challenge I have used some left over tiles from a bathroom job I ‘helped with’ a while back and made some coasters inspired by Collette’s mug from ages ago :) Thanks Collette hun!! xx Check out Colette's fabby blog here for more stunning inspirationxx

Any hoo, I coloured in the 'ikle bears with Prisma pencils, scanned them and resized to print them out onto decal waterslide paper...

…then sprayed with clear acrylic spray paint to seal the images (smells just like nail varnish) so when immersed in water, the ink will not bleed. Soaked the transfers in water until the transparent film came away from the backing paper and careful dabbed them on to the tiles.

Also added some stamped hearts and then sealed again with the acrylic spray. On the back of the coasters, I added some sticky backed felt pads…Volia!!

I did the same for the tealights using 'Sunflower Bea' TeddyBea_114...once I had sprayed with acrylic spray and left to dry, I cut out the little circles, soaked them and then placed them carefully onto the tealights...simples!!

For more inspiration, please pop on over to the Teddy Bo Tuesday Challenge #15 'Alter Something' as Team B have some amazing projects to share with you.

Please remember to use any Teddy Bo & Co image for a chance to win the fabulous winner's prize...

Teddy Bo and Co are sponsoring this challenge and the overall winner gets to choose 10 GRAPHICS... and the runners up pick one image each.

So grab your old pots, lamps, candles, boxes or anything else you can think of and ALTER SOMETHING with a Teddy Bo & Co image and most of all... have some FUN!!!

Need some images to get you started or to add to your collection? Then there is a great selection and some new releases to be found here at the Teddy Bo Store...you will be spoilt for choice!!

Stunning NEW Images From Teddy Bo & Co...

Hello Peeps...hope you are having a lovely day so far. We have had so much rain these last 5 days, it is more like November than July!!

I now have a full time job and that has put pay to most of the crafting time and blogging time that I have left available but bit by bit, I am determined to get back on track, it is just a case of adjusting my schedule, getting organised...hahaha!!... but with any new job, the 1st month is a massive learning curve and can be quite draining with a mental overload...lol!!

However, I have scheduled this post and I am really hoping that Mr Blogger behaves and posted the links correctly!!

As you probably all know by now, I am a MASSIVE Teddy Bo fan and so excited to be on their team B design team...although it is not team B's go this fortnight, it is the amazing talent of team A and they have pulled all the stops out to create the most amazing creations for the challenge for the next two weeks...

Teddy Bo 'Di-Bo-Saur' ...Another Easel Card

Hello Lovely Peeps...I hope you are all having a good day :)

Well, I never make easel cards and now I've done 2 in a row...there must be a third one somewhere around the corner...hehehe...

… I made this card for a friend’s little boy…Adam… I hope he will like it!! I know Adam loves to dress up and is fascinated by Dinos, so I’m on the right tracks at least!! I should have put his name on the card...how fab would that have been...but I didn't think of that at the time...doh!!!

I am totally in love with Teddy Bo…he is simply gorgeous and such a delight to colour too! The image I have used is Teddy Bo 020 ‘Di-Bo-Saur’ from Teddy Bo.com

He has been coloured with Prisma pencils and blended with Sansador. I also made a diddy Teddy Bo – ‘Di-Bo-Saur’ from shrink plastic…so very cute!

I used K & Co ‘Hop Scotch’ papers which are brill for boys cards, really fantastic colours that work so well with each other.

The Cuttlebug came out and I used the Swirls folder to emboss the layers and distressed the edges with Brushed Corduroy and used a nestie for the circles. I was very sparing with the Stickles but even little boys like a little bit of sparkle…lol...don't they? :)

The ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment is from Magnolia and has also been embossed with clear emossing powder, I used a digi sentiment ‘Son’ from Cuddly Buddly, the word ‘Mischief’ is a rub-on and the rest of the phrases are computer generated…oh…and I used a bit of garden twine too.

Now... it just so happens to be a NEW RELEASE DAY here at Teddy Bo Towers and here they are - the fantastic new Teddy Bo & Teddy Bea images ready to order now!!

You can also join 'Team A' for the new fortnightly Teddy Bo Challenge #14 'Teddy Bea only'.
Come & play along in the challenge but only use any Teddy Bea image to be in for the chance to win!

I hope you have enjoyed your visit and I hope you will pop on over and visited 'Team A' DT's wonderful projects...they are really beautiful. And if you enter the challenge, you'll be in it to win some Teddy Bo's and Bea's for yourself...well worth the effort I think...don't you :)

Can't wait to see all your gorgeous cards and projects using 'Teddy Bea', I'm sure she will be as excited as we are!!

Thank you so much for visiting and leaving your comments! It really makes my day special!!

Good Evening Lovely Peeps... Hope you have all had a great day!

This evening, I have another DT card to share with you and hopefully to inspire you to have some fun and play along with the Easy Crafts Projects Challenge #42 - Recipe Challenge: Use 2 Ribbons, a Button & Paint...

Had lots of fun with this one...lol... of course, I had to use my favorite bear Teddy Bea 112 and she is happy to be sat on a purple ribbon and I've used a white ribbon along side...

...for the 'buttons', I used Magnolia's 'Star Button' stamp and stamped up quite a few of these, embossed with silver embossing powder and cut them out...

....and I used loads of white Ranger dabber paint on the star buttons and around the edges of the card and the layers.

So why not come along and join in the fun, this is a two week challenge and ends at 11.59pm on Thursday 21 July...at Easy Crafts Projects Challenge #42 - Recipe Challenge: Use 2 Ribbons, a Button & Paint.
