Kingdom Hearts
From Neverpedia
Kingdom Hearts (キングダムハーツ) is a series of action role-playing games developed in collaboration between Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios. It is a peculiar crossover in which the main character, a boy named Sora, interacts with a wide range of characters from Disney's animated films, including the cast of Peter Pan, as well as original characters from Square Enix's games. It features an all-star voice cast, which includes many of the Disney characters' official voice actors and well-known actors such as Haley Joel Osment, David Gallagher, and Hayden Panettiere. Characters from Square Enix's popular Final Fantasy series make appearances and interact with the player and the Disney characters. The series centers around the main character Sora's search for his friends and his encounters with Disney and Final Fantasy characters on their worlds.
One of the worlds of Kingdom Hearts is the Neverland of the 1953 animated film Peter Pan. In the original Kingdom Hearts, most of the game's setting takes place on Captain Hook's ship but never on the actual island itself, but in Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days the player can set on foot on a specific part of the island, and various parts of the island are featured in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
Characters appearing in the series:
- Peter Pan joins Sora's party in the first game, but appears only as a summonable ally in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II with Tinker Bell by his side.
- Tinker Bell appears only as a summonable ally in Kingdom Hearts
- Wendy Darling is mistaken by Hook for one of the seven Princesses of Heart.
- Captain Hook.
- Mr. Smee.
- Slightly and Cubby appear in Birth by Sleep
At one point in the games' story, Sora gives up his heart, creating a "Nobody" called Roxas, voiced by Jesse McCartney, who also provides the voice of Terence in the Tinker Bell films.
