New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!
It's time for a color challenge at Less Is More. This time we've chosen colors that are just perfect for your Christmas card crafting:

Let's have a quick look of the cards I've created for this week!

Card 1
(above)

This card is created with a die I got to borrow from my crafty friend Milla when she was visiting me last summer. I quite like how simply I could use the color palette by just backing the die cut openings with colored card! I stamped a Finnish Christmas greeting to the middle of the die cut panel and after attaching it to a card base this card was ready in no time at all...  I think I got it made in under ten minutes! :)

Card 2
(below)

These Swedish style stamps come from Hero Arts and I love them! I combined them with a Christmas greeting by the Greeting farm and die cut the panel with a decorative MFT rectangle die before attaching it to a card base. I think this card was even faster to make than my first card... I was speed crafting this week! :)

With this card I'd like to enter:
AAA Cards: Christmas (my 2nd entry)

CAS on Friday: Christmas (my 2nd entry)

I hope to see you playing along this week! Our December sponsor is the wonderful Happy Little Stampers and HLS owner and designer Kylie is joining us in this challenge as a guest designer. Always fun to have you visiting us at LIM, Kylie! The challenge blog is filled with DT inspiration, don't miss any of the cards, click HERE. Happy crafting!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi guys!
It's time for a new challenge at Less Is More and we have a recipe for you: Let It Shine! Very handy for making festive Christmas cards. :) Our blog is filled with fabulous DT inspiration, don't miss any of the fun, click HERE. Our sponsor in November is Dies to Die for -play along for a chance to win!

I keep being a bit overloaded with work so only one card for you this week. I've die cut an opening to white card stock with my favorite snowflake die (Joy Crafts) and backed the white card with blue glitter card. I've attached one blue rhinestone to the middle of the snowflake and stamped a Christmas sentiment (the Greeting Farm) and then attached my panel to a card base. Super simple! :) I do love how this turned out and might make a couple more of these for quick Christmas cards to send abroad -this design is so light it can be sent with the cheapest postage! :) There's something I like about not using the snowflake die cut but using the negative window. This is such a fab die!

Happy crafting everyone, I look forward seeing what you create for us!

New Challenge at Less Is More!

Hi friends!

The final Less Is More Challenge for the month of July is a fun one:

You could use paper piercing, eyelets, sewing, brads, piercing dies... Many fun ways to play along!

I went with piercing dies and decided to make some more Christmas cards for my stash. I've done about 50% of all the Christmas cards that I need this year so I'm doing pretty well! Last year was a disaster,  I think I got only 1/4 made of what I would have wanted to make... So this year I started already in January! :)

Card 1: Santa Claus (above)

My first card is made with goodies from my friend Milla... Only the sentiment stamp (Penny Black) is from my own stash! I've colored the hilarious MFT Santa with Copics and added lots of Stickles details. I love Stickles for Christmas cards although I don't use it often otherwise. The pierced circles are made with a Memory Box die. A couple of sequins finish off the card. I quite like gold with green, it's a festive color combo!

Card 2: Christmas Bunny (below)

The window die with beautiful faux stitches is by MFT... And from Milla again. ;) The Mama Elephant bunny (and yep, from Milla again...) is colored with Copics and I've added Stickles to her wings. The background is made with a stencil (Memory Box), some ink (already forgot what I used!) and an old make up brush. The white heat embossed sentiment is from a set by The Greeting Farm. I've played with clear, glittery nuvo drops too -they are hard to see in the photo but I've added them here and there in the inked background.

Our challenge blog is filled with fantastic DT cards for this challenge... And it's worth checking out the personal blogs of our DT members -there's often extra inspiration on offer there too! I look forward seeing what you'll create. Play along and you could win a fabulous prize from our July sponsor, Happy Little Stampers! Thanks for popping by and have a wonderful weekend.

June Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Hello friends!

It's time for a new monthly Christmas Challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Our theme for the month of June is Anything Christmas Goes with the Optional Twist of Trees. The HLS Christmas design team has made fab samples for you, don't miss any of them, click HERE!

My card is very simple. I've used stamps by the Greeting Farm. I lightly inked a snowbank and stamped my tree + the sentiment. After that I splattered white and gold "snow" all over with paintbrush and paint. I added a golden die cur star to the top of the tree -I know it's not an all in proportion of the tree but I though it looked fun and whimsical! I finished the card with die cutting a decorative border with MFT die. I attached the panel to a dry embossed green bg and attached the role thing to a card base. I love all the small details and the shining, golden splatters!

Thanks for popping by, I hope to see you joining us this month!
